All in all cruise was good,more time at ports would be better. Unable to see costa rica as severe weather had closed the port! My only complaint is there is poor accomadations for those who smoke, the balcony being prohibited seems a little over the top. I feel a section or side of ship or floor could be designated as smoking so all passengers could be treated equally!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise to the Panama Canal and would highly recommend it. The Princess Cruise lines is wonderful and the staff is equally wonderful. The only downside was we booked a balcony which we really enjoyed but the reason for booking a balcony was to be able to smoke on it. Princess now has a no smoking policy except in designated areas and our area was on Deck 15 (which was a great spot) except they had only assigned 10 tables and 20 chairs to the area and it was full at all times as there were a number of smokers on the ship.

We had a great time. The only negative was that the ATM machine did not work after Day 2. there was no way to get American Dollars and that limited what I spent on the trip.

I was mostly satisfied with the ship except for Anytime Dining.......it was far from that! Regardless when you came, it was a 20/30 minute wait or longer. And when one looked inside there were empty tables, but saved for those who made reservations. I thought that defeated the purpose of AnyTime dining. Food was OK throughout the ship, altho some of the items on the bread/pastry area were very dried out and obviously not fresh each day. Room was very adequate and well kept. Entertainment was so-so. too many comedians, not enough variety. Perhaps some revues based on the countries we were visiting would have been nice. Oh well, we had a good time anyway.

The cruise met our expectations and more. The upgrade to a mini-suite spoiled us but added not only extra room and amenities but also extra spice to the trip. It was the icing on the birthday cake for my hubby. Food was excellent of course, ship was spotless, staff friendly and courteous, tours fantastic. My favorite was the Aerial Tram thru the Costa Rico Rain Forest. Beautiful, educational, and memorable. Panama Canal transit was also quite memorable and educational. All the tour guides we had were exceptional. Even the movies on board were top notch. The Oscar nominations were well represented. I also want to comment the Cruises Only travel agency staff. They helped me make the right cruise selection for us and were very personable and nice and knowledegeable and were responsible for coordinating the upgrade. This is the only way to really see the Panama Canal. This was our first cruise and it was fun. Loved the canal and all of the history. We prefer to travel independently. The arrival time of &am in Aruba on a Sunday was too early and the amount of time allowed (4.5 hrs) too little as was amount of time in Panama City. There was only 4 boats available for the one port where we had to be tendered into and then back which took too much time and ate into available time in that port, again Panama City. Food and entertainment was great.

For those like me who enjoy history, the opportunity to learn about the efforts to build the Panama Canal and then to travel through it were exciting. The day before we entered the Canal, the cruise offered a wonderful presentation of the history and what to look for in the canal. The stop at Cartagena Columbia to see the old town and the Inquisition museum was also fascinating. This was our first Princess cruise and I would rate it near if not at the top of our cruise experiences. While navigating through the Princess web site could be improved upon, everything else about the cruise, from the food to the programming, was top notch. I was somewhat concerned about being bored with the last 5 days being sea days. Insread, I had so many activities that I wanted to participate in, that I was unable to attend them all!

This cruise was not up to the level I expected from Princess. Our first cruise was an Alaska cruise with Princess and the food, activities and service were great. One of our favorite things was a hot room service breakfast, but not so with this cruise. The only thing on the menu was a continental breakfast or a breakfast sandwich similar to an egg McMuffin from McDonalds - not what I expected from Princess Cruises which I remembered as the best cruise I had ever taken. Also, there was a lack of educational activities and an excess of sales pitches. However, I think the entertainment was top class.

cabin steward was excellent as was our waiter Ronnie (Table 104) Lounges were exceptionaly nicely designed, pretty and inviting. Loved the coffee bar! and card

Ship was beautiful we havae been on 4 differnet cruise lines and the Island Princess is the most beautiful

Excellent schedule of ports. Food and shows were excellent. I would recommend this cruise as one of the best. Nice size ship with many things to do. Overall, EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!

There was great service in all areas of the ship. We specifically liked the Bordeaux Dining Room wait staff and food. We also had a great time with bar tenders and bar waiters.

We should have been compensated more for the ports we were unable to go too You could have added other activities .

Dissappointed with entertainment. No compensation for not going to 2 ports.

Very iimpressed. I like the mini suite we had and the balcony. It was cleaned everyday and anything we ask for we got. I really liked the wooden chairs on the deck. Very confortable not like the white plastic chairs. Enjoyed the entertainment in the bars, dance classes and the meals were very good also. Also glad the Captain kept us safe and away from the storm. Sorry we did not go to several ports, but our safety was more important. Now I have a reason to come back on another cruise. All the crew was very nice and helpful to me.

Ship had 3 floors out of public restrooms for 1.5 days. Very inconvenient. Varnishing was done on inside of exterior doors; paint smell was bad. Wet towels on restroom floors where pipes were leaking (I guess). Realize had to use this ship to go thru canal but maybe it needs a week in dry dock to fix these problems and paint. Exterior by life boats wa being painted as well. Even could smell it outside. eXCURSIONS, CREW AND PORTS OF CALL WERE GREEAT. Didn't have too much hot water...mostly warm for showers.

Size was good not too big, not too small

The ship's overall size was big enough with the amount of passengers to staff.
