Review summary

May might not be the best time to take the trip as it is the beginning of the rainy season so it was very hot and humid. Aruba was the biggest surprise as it is a desert island and there is not too much to see. Princess Cruises did a very good job overall and the food was very good. The canal itself is worth a try just to see it and experience the ride. Everyone took US dollars so there was no need to exchange money.

With the very warm weather it was nice to have a covered balcony (overhang from the deck above).

Ship tip

If you take the Anytime Dining you may want to dine later as on our trip there were so many Traditional Diners with the early seating that they took 1/3 of the Anytime Dining restaurant so it was hard to get a seat.

we went in late January- the weather was perfect, warm but not too muggy and hot. January has lower amounts of rain but major winds in Nicaragua. The said they only have about two months with out wind. Twice a year when the headwinds change. Our next trip to Panama is in late Sept., a turn around from L.A. and back. No Flying required😀 . I expect it to be warmer, but was surprised that it's usually dryer at that time....a good thing...less humid.
