Review summary

This was our first cruise.  The service, hospitality and variety of daily activities was beyond what I expected.  This cruise had so many wonderful and exciting things, that it is difficult to know where to start.  The food, the shows, activities, staff, ...the entire experience was one I will never forget or regret.  I recommend that this cruise be on everyone's "bucket list".  We had such an awesome experience it was hard to have it come to an end.   Already to book our next cruise!

Ship tip

Choose the early dinner seating and ask to share table with at least 4 other guests. You will make new friends and spend the dining time sharing experiences. Take a shawl (or dress warmer) when dining. Don't miss any of the shows and get your seat 30 minutes early to be able to get a seat.

Bombarded as soon as you pass port security by tour operators and sellers of goods. Our excursion trip was not there to meet us, and then when security took us to meeting point we are told trip was canceled. Even after waiting over an hour to be sure, since know one from trip came to meet us, we finally ended up just walking around. Felt unsafe and locals did not take "no thank you" well. After returning home, this excursion is refusing to reimburse for failure to take us out. Place is set up to rip off and solicit tourist money for items of no value. Don't get off the ship here. You can stay on board and see everything that locals want to rip you off for..

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

Very organized and efficient at getting off the ship and picking up our bags. Super cab drivers getting us to airport.

Welcome to the wonderful world of cruising. I am so glad your first cruise went well. The island Princess is a beautiful ship. Don't worry PCD ( post cruise depression) is normal. I fix it by always trying to have one booked.

I've been on this cruise, Loved Cartegena, and surprisingly had a great time in Cabo. In Cartegena, the vendors were more aggressive than in Cabo, but we did quite a bit of shopping in Cabo with no hassle.

I'm glad you enjoyed this trip. We are planning to do it again.

its so awesome when someone's first cruise goes so well.  We have found both Mexico and Jamaica ports are unwelcoming in terms of street merchants being overly aggressive. We curtained getting off in those locations.

Happy cruising!
