Review summary

Cons: There were 4300 passengers on board of which 1200 were kids (admittedly it was half term week). The kids ran up and down the corridors, thumping their feet, quite late at night. (I’m a mum and I love children). The dining tables were so close together that the waiters bumped into our chairs each time they passed. There weren't many places on board to sit quietly and read. Most of the bars had loud music playing. No pre-show dancing with dance hosts. No dance lessons either. You are charged $14.50 gratuity per person per day. Tax is also added to drinks. Drinks are quite expensive compared to other cruise lines I've sailed with. There were long queues for breakfast and lunch. Our waiter repeatedly asked for positive feedback when completing the survey following the cruise, which became a bit tiresome. Pros: Excellent food. No complaints at all. The MDR was beautiful. We had a good sized cabin which was well equipped with an excellent shower. All the crew were very pleasant and helpful. This is just my own personal opinion and I realise everyone has different tastes!

It’s the parents that should be monitoring their children’s behaviour not the cruise line! If you don’t like it then go on cruise without kids. Simple! If you don’t like one cruise line then pick another or live and let live! Sounds like you are the one quick to judge others opinions.

People are always so quick to judge someone because they do not prefer one thing over another, (kids running hallways), telling people when they should go and when they should not go, alleging all the cruises they have been on with no issues. I have also done 14 cruises myself with several different lines and they ALL have something that could be better. In the end, cruises are a lot of money to everyone that gets to go so why should she have to rearrange her life because the cruise line can’t monitor behavior a bit...

However, we have been on Indy and found staff not willing to challenge poor behaviour - kids do not have to poorly behaved because they are on holiday!

Don’t go in half term if you don’t want kids. This is there time to go. We were all kids once We have been on 14 cruise And never had a problem with children because we try to go When the kids are at school. Happy cruising
