1st timers on an Oasis class ship: Research the deck plans ahead of your cruise. Get your bearings and explore the whole ship the 1st day. Use the mobile app calendar to keep track of entertainment and events... you can set your alert however works best for you. And try all the dining options... each has their pros and special features! 👍

This is a general tip for all Oasis class ships. Try to book and watch the first available aqua show in the itinerary, as subsequent shows may get canceled because of weather. This happened on the transatlantic cruise when the show kept getting canceled each day because of the "motion in the ocean" but I was lucky catching the first performance early on the sailing so I wouldn't regret it if they could never perform again by the end of the cruise. Another general tip, I try to book and watch as much shows at the beginning of the sailing, so that if a subsequent performance conflicts with another activity later on in the itinerary I don't have to regret missing it.

Follow up with your dining plans for confirmation. We bought a dining package near the pool first day from a gal walking around selling them. None of the dinners we booked with her were confirmed with any of the restaurants. We had to make trips to guest services to figure that out.

If you take an excursion, make sure to bring your passport, sea pass and your vaccination card. Also, get your towels before departing the ship. These two things were not explained very well. Many people going back to get them

There was not enough staff for the amount of guests on the ship. The ship was not prepared for the number of guests therefore the guests suffered waiting on themselves, fighting to get into entertainment, and excursions unable to accommodate the number of guests with chairs, and equipment to enjoy the experience.

Make sure you sail at least two cruises in a row and three back to back to back cruises on the Harmony is definitely an astonishing and exciting exerience!

The ship is huge, make sure to look at the map. Also, if you have a kid do not cut through the casino. I was lost attempting to get the the other side of the ship. The casino staff were extremely rude. Even a little scary. My son was shocked and scared at the treatment wee received from the casino personnel. It was extremely uncalled for. We just needed directions. Completely unacceptable!
