No more smaller ships by JimP11

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The carpets need replacment around some of the common areas.Glasses ,cups,& litter need to be removed when careless people leave them sitting around the deck and not left sitting around for a day or more. There need to be more smoking areas on open decks, this is the first ship I have been on that you could not smoke any where on open outside decks.

Overpriced and Boring! by DavidH8

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I prefer Carnival to Royal Carribean, the price is better and so is the entertainment. Royal Carribeans computers were down at check-in and we had to stand in line for 2 hours and the ship was supposed to leave at 5pm and didn't leave until 7:15. We paid for a oversized room and it was the same size as other passengers. We also paid a fuel charge and Royal Carribean & Cruises Only would not reimburse us and other passengers did not pay those charges and at times we were bored.

Overpriced cruise by DavidH8

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I prefer Carnival ships, the price is better there seems to be more to do and the entertainment is better. This ship was supposed to leave port at 5pm and did not leave until 7:15. I was charged extra for gas when it was high and I was not reimbursed and other people on the ship paid alot less. The dining staff did not sing and dance each night, we did not have towel animals in our room until the last night and at times there wasn't anything to do. It rained on the night of the pool party and rather than having it the next night they moved it into the disco and it was just a bunch of drunks in a bar instead of playing games and dancing the conga.

Christmas at Sea by DeeG1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The Grandeur of the Seas is an older, smaller ship which is what we look for - I had sailed on it when she was fairly new (out of the East Coast) and she was as grand now as then ( just a little older!!! Enjoyed the indoor (adults only) pool area and the general adult atmosphere although there were many families aboard. All of the children were well behaved & that included teenagers who are sometimes hard to please. Everyone seems to find a place to fit in on the Grandeur - guess that's what makes her "Grand".

Everything worked well from the little things that had to be addressed at the Pursor's desk to the overall workings of the ship. It was great.

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Just big enough to enjoy activities at all levels and not too big as to not be able to access all areas easily. Ship was spotless and all service areas provided very nice attitude.

PERFECT! PERFECT! PERFECT! by KristieW

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Well there were a few minor issues - just basic TLC. But I also realize that it is an older ship and she is bound to have some flaws! So overall, it was very nice and clean. There were some broken tiles I saw and some missing screws in some of the windows and so forth, but nothing that made any difference to our experience aboard!

A Dream Come True by DaveL12

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

We took a chance and booked a cruise never having been on one before. Bermuda seemed like a nice destination and it never occurred to us what we would find onboard the ship during the cruise. From the very moment we entered the ship I have nothing but great things to say about the Royal Carribean staff. They pampered us and the people they employ are the best. Our room was cleaned twice daily never had to beg for towels or washcloths always in our room. The rooms was spotless. We sat around the pool and the service was excellent. My husband purchased buckets of beer and when he could not finish his beers he took them back to our room and each night after dinner we would come back to the bucket filled with fresh ice. Every single detail is taken care of. At the bars the employees made sure we were happy and our drinks cold. In the dining room they even put our napkins on our lap before we could do it ourselves. Each table had four staff members to serve you. Then there was the Windjammer which served equally delicious food. Never in my life have I been treated so well and felt so relaxed. The music was wonderful and each bar area had different entertainment. We could gamble if we wanted to or shop or watch the shows. Every minute we were entertained. We both just loved the cruise and would definitely go again when we can affoard it.

WoW Heaven on Water by DaveL12

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

I think this ship was the best. The bathroom even had a bottle opener which is every mans ideal. Where on earth could you go and find a bottle opener in the can? This company thought of everything. I loved it. The staff would ice down my beer while we went to dinner. They thought of everything.

"Grandeur of the Seas" by aH47447403

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

I was amazed at not only how huge it was, but how beautiful it was..There are 2 pools..one indoor and one outdoor. I felt like a Grecian Goddess in the indoor pool. The food was wonderful and we had such a nice waiter with a great sense of humor...I am a diabetic, so he would point out the different (sugar free) desserts on the menu for me. I really liked the organization of everything. Getting off the Ship was the fastest I have ever seen and this was my 14th Cruise... The Ship was very clean...Amazing !! I highly recommend Royal Carribean to anyone..

caribbean Cruise by Kenneth

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was our fourth cruise, first with Royal Caribbean. We had a great time on the ship, they had an indoor and an out door pool. The indoor pool was for adults only which was very nice. Some of the ports we visited were very sad, children and adults alike were begging for money, some scams were being played on some of the passangers by the natives. I recommend not going off by yourself and if you do go in the towns go with several other passengers.

Love cruising by PaulaG5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The ship is older but the only place that showed was in the stateroom. The mirrors were damaged a little and some drawers didn't shut well but it really wasn't anything that hampered our trip. Really pretty ship and service was absolutely excellent in every field! Food was great in the dining room and the buffet.
