Review summary

Well there were a few minor issues - just basic TLC. But I also realize that it is an older ship and she is bound to have some flaws! So overall, it was very nice and clean. There were some broken tiles I saw and some missing screws in some of the windows and so forth, but nothing that made any difference to our experience aboard!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Can't say enough about the dining room food and staff! It was out of this world. Let's just say I came home 7 pouds heavier than when I left!! The food and presentation could not have been more superb!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Out of all the cruises we have done in the past, we all had the most fun on this one! Lot's of activities to keep us busy and plenty of time for relaxation on the days at sea!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Once again - great! Everyone is so nice and helpful - couldn't have been better!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We have cruised on bigger ships with Royal in the past, so the Grandeur was definitely not as nice in that respect, but for her size and class of ship it was great!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Small of course, but that's the world of cruising in interior staterooms! But we don't cruise for the stateroom so it really doesn't matter in our overall experience. Our room was always clean and our stateroom attendent was very very nice!

Ports of call

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

5 out of 5
We went diving at this port of call, so we didn't get to do much else while at this port. The diving was just ok because the visibility was not that great the day we went. The dive itself probably would have been great if visibility would have been better. We dove the shipwreck RMS Rhoane.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

5 out of 5
we did a little shopping before heading to the beach. The beach we went to was kind of small but still nice.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
Shopping! Shopping! Shopping! Wow - we couldn't even begin to make to all the shops! It was really really cool! We even found time before the "all aboard" to sneak by the beach for a quick dip in the water. The beach was very beautiful!
Don't Miss: SHOPPING

St. John's, Antigua

5 out of 5
Great place to visit. Very pretty and nice beach - more private than any other beach we went to this cruise

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
The only thing that was kind of bad is that we were there on Thanksgiving and alot of the shops were closed, but it was still great!
Don't Miss: The fort - it was absolutely amazing.

Pros: The music, the food, the staff, the ports of call - well everything!!!!

Cons: The ship needs some TLC but it was still wonderful!
