both husband and i gave the whole experience a 9.5
we are not fussy people and clearly we met people that would disagree ....great price and enjoyed all of our 13 days
Embarkation
4 out of 5
decent on board experience. typical day one...lots of confusion and everyone wants buffet lunch so just be patient and by dinner time everyone is comfortable.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
dinner: had a table for 6. great dinner mates and enjoyed having our same wait staff at set 8pm dining schedule. had the distinct pleasure of enjoying the chef's table. fun experience and loved the food drink and our dinner partners. there were 8 of us... very interesting and enjoyable
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
trivia ....pool ....workout room ....getting on and off ship
Entertainment
4 out of 5
good evening entertainment
very good bands that played in various venues on the ship
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
table 345 service staff and stateroom attendant 4053
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
beautiful old ship. small by cruise standards but was perfect for us and hearing of how many return customers were on board ....they agreed !!!
clean and friendly crew made for a great holiday
loved the central location for so many of the entertainment options in the centrum
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
smallest cabin we have ever stayed in. while it was a bit shocking at first site ...to be quite honest after putting all of our stuff away we had a great time. i brought extra hooks and kept things in order and actually everything was great .
there are no electrical outlets in bathroom....the icky cloth shower curtains need updating
read what is included ....we being new to royal carribean had no idea how limited our stateroom ammenities would be ...no hair conditioner ?? body lotion ?? they should be ashamed
Ship tip
easy ship to enjoy. avoid peak time at buffet. do not expect any discounts on drinks. fun dancing in viking lounge. only experienced dancers danced in centrum. lots of entertainment through out the evening hours
typical ....too much smoking in casino ...spilled out to other areas
limited shopping..seemed to have hardly any day or night ware for women at all and only slightly more for men
although we din't purchase specialty dining ....we heard so many that thought the packages were well worth the cost ....i consider the extra $500 for two of us to have unlimited options. our dining room food was decent so we really didn't feel deprived at all.
order coffer and continental breakfast ...free of charge ...we gave a tip for each delivery ...much appreciated
ok ...took ferry off pier to beach ....$6 with discount coupon pp ...beach chairs with umbrellas $20 for 2
beautiful sand but way too many vendors asking if we wanting objects, massages hair braids etc.
I love your positive outlook. I think the Grandeur is a fine ship which I've sailed on many times. I will be going again Aug. 30 and am looking forward to another great time.
