Review summary

Overall the cruise was very nice,  This is our second time on the Grandeur.  Being from Baltimore, it's hard to beat the convenience.  The staff on the ship is absolutely top notch.  The food, overall is great.  They do a very good job of attending to specific dietary needs.  The consensus of most repeat cruisers is that they prefer this size ship t the larger ones.   It creates a better sense of cordiality.  There are, however, some issues that need improving on Royal Caribbean.  The Labadee stop is worthless.  Very little to do and see and the price of activities on the island are outrageous.  Royal Caribbean also needs to reconsider their pricing on drink packages, internet packages, etc.  Absolutely ridiculous.  I am not a long time cruiser, this is my third.  I am noticing there are subtle reductions in the amenities now offered,  The price to cruise is still the best value around, in my opinion, but there seems to be a shift towards more a la carte offerings throughout.  And I don't mean just in the food offereings.

Hated it. Nothing to offer except a $100, 90- second zip line ride and a marketplace where you get absolutely assaulted by the locals

San Juan, Puerto Rico

It could have been a coiicidence of timing because there was a big dog show and street performers all over. Made getting anywhere a nightmare.

I was on the Grandeur last year and had a good time. The people who worked in the buffet were wonderful, dining room staff as well, gift shop sales associates were as well. As for the soda package I got, not the full drink package and it was 61 dollars and change for 8 day cruise. I did use it a lot and well worth it. The one thing I liked about this was my husband didn't have to get it. Many cruise lines wants who ever is in the cabin to get the package too.

I totally agree with you! Having been to both of their private beaches, I did enjoy Co Co Cay much better. Not as commercialized as Labadee. We are from the Pittsburgh area and cruise out of Baltimore alot. Very easy drive for us. Drink prices are insane. Going next Feb on the Grandeur down to Southern Caribbean for 12 nights. Can't wait!
