Review summary

This was our first time visiting Alaska and we enjoyed it immensely. We cruised with 2 other couples (both first time cruisers) and had very little complaints. Alaska is indescribable and beautiful beyond measure.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We arrived later in the day, walked right on to the ship and went straight to our rooms. Luggage arrived late that night but no issues at all.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Specialty restaurants were 5 stars, Botticelli and Da Vinci dining rooms were 4.5, buffets were 3.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Pools were not heated so no getting into those, hot tubs weren't all working but enjoyed what little time I had in them.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Stage shows, dj's and cruise directors Robbie and Shaun were a blast, they were one of the best parts of being on the ship.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Room stewards were embeccable, every time we came back to our room it was clean. Waiters and staff in the restaurants were great our only complaint would be with a couple of the bartenders which gave horrible service.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was very clean and bed and pillows were super comfortable. Back patio deck was fantastic, our group of six spent the days cruising the glaciers on the deck and had a blast.

Ship tip

If you can afford it, get a room with a balcony.

Cruise Glacier Bay

Skagway, Alaska

4 out of 5
Skagway was a smaller town with less to see. We would have enjoyed less time here and more time in Juneau or Ketchikan. We did an excursion but it was short.

Disembarkation

Was fairly simple but hectic, as per usual.

We did the reverse of your cruise and absolutely loved it. Hopefully, you got to spend some time in Anchorage before your cruise. Thanks for sharing.
