Medical expenses due to diarrhea cost an additional $200 additional onboard charges during the cruise $1180.34

Those “cough frees” can really add up! You can however get free coffee all day long in the dining rooms or buffet. Alcohol and soda has always been pay as you go or if you drink a lot of either, you can buy a package. No surprise to anybody. I took the same cruise this past October and loved every minute of it. Booked again for October of this year. I guess maybe I’m just old at 60.

You don’t look so young yourself. Stick to your time share. Read the comments from “romantikcruiser”, he is right on.

A cruise vacation is not for everyone...it sounds like you might prefer a 7 day or less cruise or no cruise at all...all drink packages are poor investments unless you consume a lot of alcoholic beverages or non alcoholic beverages or espresso drinks...if you do not consume a daily significant amount of each then you should skip each drink package and buy your drinks individually...as far as drinks go...it is a personal decision to buy them ...otherwise there is enough complimentary beverages to stave off dehydration...the specialty restaurants are extra cost treats...but between the two pizza locations, trident grill, international cafe, the buffet, room service and the main dining room there are ample opportunities to get a crust of bread without being charged...medical care on a ship is expensive and most medical insurance will not reimburse your out of pocket...experienced cruisers know and your travel agent should have recommended travel insurance...or you can cross your fingers and hope then complain about the costs......and for all new cruisers...the longer the cruise...the older the passengers ...if being around older folks distresses you...then avoid all cruises longer than seven days...the longer cruises costs more and requires more free time... so you will see a larger percentage of older folks...as I mentioned earlier...cruising is not for everyone...but if costs, age of passengers, number of sea days and the itinerary are important to you...tell your travel agent so that they can steer you to a more appropriate trip
