Review summary

We had a great time and since live close to SF it was better than driving to Long Beach. We got more time on the ship. Princess has high quality service and shows. We were very happy. I can’t say anything negative at all. Great value for your money.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We had great service and the food was great. Crab Shack was well worth the $29 per person. Quality and quantity was excellent.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We used the fitness center which was great. We walked every day on the Promenade.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows were great. The Billy Joel show was really good. The saxophone instrumental was really good. The British Invasion was not great. They picked weird songs.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Fabulous service. Our waiters, stewards, photographers were awesome. Highest quality possible.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Excellent overall. It will be refurbished after the next cruise. We thought it looked great. High quality.

Cabin / Stateroom

Size was great. The large window was great. The Lido deck is great for access to the pools and buffets. Very quiet room.

Ship tip

It’s being refurbished in February so it should be amazing when it’s done. It takes two weeks to do it.

Ports of call

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

We did not do an excursion. The taxis were $5 per person to get into town. Very easy. We walked the Malecon and ate with an ocean view.

Manzanillo, Mexico

Dirty and run down. Take a tour if you go. We chose not to do a tour and should have.

Mazatlan, Mexico

Walk into town. About one mile. Follow the blue line on the road. Don’t take a taxi if you can walk. Retired people outside the gate in blue shirts give free advice. We walked all the way to the cliff divers. We took a cab to the Gold Zone. That was a waste of time. The Old Town and church in downtown Mazatlan is much better.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Too many people attacking us wanting to sell us tours, trinkets, etc. you don’t feel like you are in Mexico since the hurricane in 2014 destroyed the old sections. We didn’t recognize it. We ate at the “Office” restaurant. About a 45 minute walk through the tourist zone.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Smooth and easy. No problems.
