A cruise to Alaska should be included in every bucket list as a life time experience. The Grand Princess is an older ship as we have had the opportunity to cruise on the Royal Caribbean ships that the Princess doesn't compare in appearance or accommodations. But the staff was just as attentive and as caring. The Princess won't be my first choice going forward but it is not excluded. We had a wonderful time and we were cared for!!!

Ship Quality
Older ship
Food and Dining
Lots of options stay away from the veal and the lamb very tough
Service and Staff
They were great our suite attendant was fabulous
Entertainment
Appeared to be focused to an older crowd
Children's Programs N/A
Onboard Activities Not a lot of participation due to a lack of a schedule we couldn't get into any of the shows, they were always filled to capacity. Royal allowed for scheduled booking so there was never a conflict
Destinations and Excursions
Beautiful experience; my husband and I have added a return to Alsaka in 2017 as an additonal travel
Seattle, Washington
We took the Lite Train to Downtown Seattle and went to this fabulous restaurant off of Olive and 8th called Blue Seafood. The food was amazing,
Ketchikan, Alaska
We went on the Eagle Excursion but after seeing so many nest and eagles they all looked the same
Cruise Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska
This was truly the Hand of God at work. It was an amazing sight to behold; breath taking
Juneau, Alaska
The Whales watching was awesome we saw several humpback and Orca pods it was an amazing sight to experience
Skagway, Alaska
Loved it the sights and scenary were awesome. Downtown was great and the post office was near and we were able to mail all purchased items home which lighten our load , considering we had to pay $200.00 for overweight luggage
Victoria, British Columbia
Beautiful; the city is so refreshing in it's options to and from the port. The cabbies were willing to take us around Victoria

Tip

The Horizon Court at any time is readily available for breakfast lunch or dinner; as a matter of fact we chose it as compared to our purchase of the Anytime Dinning as an option.
