Review summary

A cruise to Alaska should be included in every bucket list as a life time experience. The Grand Princess is an older ship as we have had the opportunity to cruise on the Royal Caribbean ships that the Princess doesn't compare in appearance or accommodations. But the staff was just as attentive and as caring. The Princess won't be my first choice going forward but it is not excluded. We had a wonderful time and we were cared for!!!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Lots of options stay away from the veal and the lamb very tough

Onboard Activities

Not a lot of participation due to a lack of a schedule we couldn't get into any of the shows, they were always filled to capacity. Royal allowed for scheduled booking so there was never a conflict

Entertainment

Appeared to be focused to an older crowd

Ship tip

The Horizon Court at any time is readily available for breakfast lunch or dinner; as a matter of fact we chose it as compared to our purchase of the Anytime Dinning as an option.

Beautiful; the city is so refreshing in it's options to and from the port. The cabbies were willing to take us around Victoria
