Review summary

Loved the cruise. Travelling in September gave us great weather for the most part. I always enjoy shipboard life and was not bothered by up to six sea days as part of the itinerary. Would do the same trip again.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Only used the buffet on port days when restaurants were mot open. Loved the food and menu choices and the excellent service by majority of waiters.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Dancing. Theatre shows. Game shows run by entertainment crew. Gym. Pools and hot tubs. Saunas. Enjoyed all the above. Occasionally the music choices and time scheduled did not really suit the age profile of the passengers. More dance classes would have been appreciated.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Excellent shows for the most part including guest entertainers and entertainment crew production shows.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Generally excellent and attentive service.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
All good.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The beds, soon as and pillows were superb. Great cabin layout as well

Ship tip

It's about to be refurbished so everything should be in top condition. Some of the upholstery was a bit tired for our trip Sept 2017. For the best food and dining experiences use the restaurants not the buffet.

Hope they love it. It's a long cruise for first time cruisers and the age demographic is grandparents rather than young families.

With a 30-day + cruise, I would expect a number of sea days. We are planning a Trans-Atlantic with five days in a row at sea which is all part of distance cruising. Glad you enjoyed your Polynesian adventure.
