Review summary

1) credit authorization was not told about this. This extra charge put a negative on my card. And Royal Caribbean already got their money. So why are you charging again. Companies usually do that when they don’t get paid yet. 2) tips should be customers choice not you deciding what I should give. Some people deserve that Amount, some deserve more and some deserve nothing that should be our choice. 3) rooms are outdated and too expensive if they going to look like that 4) staff that works with children should be able to work with all kids including those with special needs 5) Spa staff need to listen to the customers needs and not try to continue to convince them to spent more money but not do a good job. I was in more pain before than after. Horrible service. Kim was her name

Children's Programs

1 out of 5
Children clubs were nice, if your child does not have special needs. A staff told us that we should come all the time like the other kids because the teacher has a set program and if you child doesn’t sit it will disturb the teacher. Not the students but the teacher. Be in mind, there were two other staff members and about 15 kids. Ages 3-5. When I registering they ask you all these questions and stated so they can better assist the child. And I said clearly that my child will not disturb anyone. She will only play by herself and will not sit with other kids. My other daughter had not problems of course because she doesn’t have special needs. Sad in this day in age that someone that works with kids can not handle a child that is not violent or aggressive just different and sticks to theirselves.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Waiters we good but room stewards, staff that worked with children and spa staff were rude or incompetent

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Ship was nice but staterooms were out dated and dirty sheets were put under the bed instead of taken out of the room. Packs of garbage bags were left in trash and new soap was not given.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
Outdated, bed is extremely uncomfortable. Couch is old and dirty. Bathroom is outdated

Ship tip

Let customers choose who they want to tip. Some staff deserve that and more but other don’t

Companies put holds on CCs all the time. It’s even in the cruise paperwork. 🤦🏻‍♀️

If you did even a modest amount of research you would have known about the gratuities in advance. The amounts can vary a little but mostly universal. If that’s not to you liking then don’t book a cruise. As for the kids program it is provided for free that give parents some free time, it is not a substitute for specialized day care. They can only deal with kids that participate fully without conflict, if your child’s has special requirements you need to stop cruising with them or take care of them yourself.

They put a small hold charge on your card that’s never actually charged and they is removed once you’re back and any onboard charges have been paid. 18% gratuity is clearly stated in many places. I can’t speak to kids or special needs. I’d honestly say that cruising may not be your best option and that whatever vacation you choose it’s 100% on you to do the research. It’s 2024 it’s not like it’s not very easy to do a bit of upfront research. Google, etc.

You were in more pain Before than After? Isn't that what a spa is suppose to do?

Must be your first cruise, if you looked on all and I mean all of your cruise docs it tells you what the graturties is, and if you ever read the faq on the cruise website it states it as well, they did not hoodwinked you.
