My wife and I celebrated our 10 Year Anniversary on this cruise, making new friends and lasting memories in the process.
Embarkation
2 out of 5
There was little to no signage (if there, then *poorly* located) as to importance first dropping your bags vs signing in. Additionally, there was poor signage (if any) as to what line was for Crown & Anchor status and/or Priority Boarding.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
This question should be broken up separately. One for main dining (Windjammer aka: buffet) and the other for specialty dining (Chops Grill, Giovanni's, etc.). Each provide a very different experience.
As for main dining, the quality of food, the prep and taste are excellent. Unfortunately, the experience of getting your food is the equivalent to a heard of cattle. Then there are the kids that were never tought food handling etiquette.
PRO TIP: Pay for a 2, 3 or everynight dinner package and use the main dining areas (your assigned floor 3 (my time), 4, or 5) for breakfast. You will avoid the masses and your trip will feel a lot more intimate and meaningful -- not to mention the incredible people you will meet here vs the cattle-call on the 11th floor!
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
From the his/her massages, facials, to bingo, to comedy shows to wave rider, wall climbing, to pools and spas, all was truly exceptional.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
World class comedian and Argentine performers.
Children's Programs
This is 'Not Applicable' as the check box selected indicates.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
The room stuart, dinner waiters and general staff throughout the ship all were excellent (as expected). Unfortunately the cruise director and immediate staff were less than professional in addressing concerns of perceived misrepresentation of a certain event/statement(s). Their interest in listening to a concerned customer was highly offputting at best.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
3rd time on this ship class and love everything about it.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Great location, peaceful, overall a good value.
Ship tip
Regardless of your priority onboarding status, drop your bags first then proceed to check-in. If you have status ask for directions to the correct line.
Late disembarking (by choice), while welcoming and far less chaotic, the signage for locating bags was lacking, namely the #1-15 right side vs #16-30 left side and less about thre numbering of each bag station. This would will easily cost a family 15 to 20 minutes of navigating, especially with children.
