Review summary

I usually cruise carnival this was my first RC Cruise. I like that they offer a drink package. It was not offered on the carnival ships I went on. I did leave out of Puerto Rico on Carnival previously. On Royal much of the programming is geared towards the Puerto Rican crowd more so than my carnival experience. I felt I missed out on a lot because I don’t speak Spanish. Regardless I still had a fantastic time. The Puerto Rican enthusiasm is contagious.

Embarkation

It was easy to drop our bags off and glue quickly through the line to make it on board. My only co plaint is I’ve been on 4 cruises on another Cruise Line, this was my first with RC, my bags were NOT delivered to MY ROOM they were left at a random room at the other end of the ship and I o my found them because I got off of the elevator near them otherwise I would have been searching for them.

Not sure when you last sailed Carnival, but they most definitely have a drink package now. Royal Caribbean’s is better though. I was on this same cruise and our luggage was in our room when we got back from muster drill, so maybe they weren’t done delivering?

Glad you had a great time. Sorry about the luggage issue. We’ve only ever had one luggage issue and it was because the wife brought a hair curler that on x-ray appeared to be a clothes steamer, not allowed. I had to go to security to retrieve her bag down in deck 2 on Allure. Otherwise always been smooth for us. I guess when you’re dealing with thousands of pieces of luggage things can happen. We left out of San Juan last year and didn’t find the language issue but you’re not the first I’ve seen write about that.

If luggage loses its tags, or is unclear to read, luggage can get misplaced. That happened to us on a CARNIVAL cruise. It happens on all cruise lines..
