Review summary

I thoroughly enjoyed this cruise. The itinerary was excellent and the service in the main dining room was phenomenal.

Embarkation

Extremely easy. Got to the port around 3pm and it was smooth sailing with no lines.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
I enjoyed the dinner in the main dining room. I wish there were more complementary options onboard for breakfast and lunch. The windjammer cafe became quite boring after 2 days.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Rock climbing wall and ice skating was awesome. Flow rider was always wayyy too crowded to try out and there were no waterslides. Wish there were more onboard activities during the day.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I loved the Broadway productions and comedy shows! I attended something almost every night and they were fantastic!

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The main dining room staff were excellent and honestly they made my cruise. The rest of the staff though were not as friendly and helpful as I have experienced on other Cruise lines. The room Stewart was nice but I noticed that he folded up and hung up dirty towels sometimes so that grossed me out.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was nice but could use some updating. Its age is starting to show.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
I liked my cabin however the bathroom could use a face lift. It was extremely spacious. There were 3 adults in our room and we never felt congested.

Ship tip

Do not go to the buffet between 8-9. It is so packed that it's almost impossible to find a seat.

Ports of call

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
Boy do I love St. Maarten! We did the sea trek excursion booked through royal Caribbean. It was so much fun! An experience of a lifetime for someone who is not a very strong swimmer. I also thoroughly enjoyed snorkeling there. Afterwards we just hung out on the beach near town and ate some good Caribbean food and had a few drinks at the different bars. Awesome day!

Kralendijk, Bonaire

3 out of 5
We did an island tour on Bonaire. It was interesting to see the pink salt lake and slave huts but this port was very boring. We ended up at Soroban beach. The water there is so shallow, you can walk for almost a mile and still be waist deep. It was amazing to see. Overall however, this was my least favorite port.

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
Beautiful town, picture perfect. Looks like something from a story book. I would highly recommend a city tour. We ended out day on Blue Bay beach. It is a small Beach area with a restaurant and clean amenities. You can rent snorkel there and go snorkel around the Rocky areas. It was so beautiful and I saw many different fish.

Oranjestad, Aruba

5 out of 5
Omg the beaches! Eagle beach and palm Beach were some of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. The water is so beautiful and soothing. I will be returning to Aruba.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
San Juan was excellent. Great food, excellent drinks and fun atmosphere. The people are so friendly there also.

Disembarkation

I am not sure why royal Caribbean asks for your departure time because they do not assign numbers based on that time. My family was leaving a day later than me and was given earlier departure. The customs line and the line to get off the ship was soooo long and exhausting. A better system is needed for departure.
