It was a fun week that ended too soon,I will like to it repeat again sometime.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
The embarkation process was very easy and fast. There are no options if you need to buy something before the cruise leaves because the port is far from San Juan if you want to walk. Buy everithing you need before arriving. The only shop there is the alcohol shop and they don't have much variety.

An accesible room. A lot of space to walk and put your things, the bathroom is large and spacious, the only thing is the bags do not fit under de bed if they are large. Everything very clean .
Ship tip
You should arrive half an hour early to the shows especially the skating show. If you like tranquility you can have breakfast in the dining room, The dining room has a small buffet during breakfast too but you have to choose between the a la carte menu or the buffet. Keep in mind that the dining room opens a little later than the windjammer. If you are My Time Dining you can make a reservation for dinner.
From the port where the ship sails you cannot walk to old San Juan. The good thing is that I live in Puerto Rico and I have been there other times, but I would have liked to leave my bags and walk around San Juan a little before the ship left. No excursion.
We went straight to the aquarium which is small but they have many activities and you can swim with the dolphins for an extra price or else take a photo with a dolphin for a reasonable price. Then we walked to Mambo beach. They charge you 3.50 for using the beach and apart for the chairs. We do not rent chairs, we just leave things in a corner and bathe on the beach. The beach is very pretty and has shops and restaurants next door. It also has showers and bathrooms. After lunch on the boat we went to Fort RIF which has many shops and we crossed the bridge to see the city which is beautiful. I would have liked the cruise to stay until 10:00 PM (as it did in Aruba) to be here longer but it left at 8:00 PM.
We did an excursion with someone local and they took us to the salt flats, slave huts, we saw flamingos in Lake Gotomeer. Luckily the Flamingos were close enough, not for a nice photography with a normal camera but to appreciate them. In the end we went to Cadushy distillery where they make cactus rum and they give you a taste. The tour was quite fast, and at 12:00 PM we were back. Bonaire is beautiful and I wanted to see more, the man who gave us the tour explained everything very well. Near the boat there are many shops and it is very nice too, there is an area where they let you bathe in front of the cruise, but it has many stones. The sea has a beautiful color in Bonaire.
From the cruise you can take the water taxi, a regular taxi or walk to Philipsburg. There is Great Bay Beach, there are also shops, restaurants and you can rent beach chairs. The beers are at a good price and we had a great time there. It is our second time in ST Marteen and we love this area near the cruise. Sellers are very insistent but that is their job. No excursion.
