Review summary

Our southern Caribbean Cruise on Freedom of the Seas was so amazing! We had such a great time exploring the different islands and spending time on our ship. The islands on this cruise were so beautiful, each island is so unique and special in their own way. Our favorite on this trip was St Lucia, spectacular views! Freedom of the Seas had so much to offer. We definitely enjoyed the yummy food, dressing up at night for dinner, the great entertainment shows, and just being able to enjoy this great ship!

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was great! We ate every night at the main dinning room! We had excellent waiters and the dinning room is gorgeous!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There are so many activities onboard the Freedom of the Seas for every age. Pools and hot tubs were great!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows at the Theater were really good! We went to three of the shows and enjoyed them! Our favorite was the ice skating show, Freedom Ice! This show had such great choreography and themes. Definitely is a show not to be missed while onboard! Also there was a Latin night and a 70s Disco dance party in the Promenade. Both were a lot of fun!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The waiters were incredible! Our main dinning room waiter and especially our assistant waiter went above and beyond, making sure we had the best dinning experience! Our room steward was good and always so friendly, always asking us about our day.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship’s layout is really nice, easy to get around. The common areas were always clean and well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The inside cabin was of course small, but had a great layout for its size. We had enough storage for the three of us and never felt too crowded. Our room steward always kept it nice and clean for us.

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

4 out of 5
San Juan was a great port to embark on a cruise from. Old San Juan is a great city, full of history and culture. We loved visiting the El Morro Fort, seeing Fortaleza umbrellas, and eating at Barrachinas. The 500 plus years history of Old San Juan was so interesting to learn about and experience. We stayed in Puerto Rico 4 extra days after the cruise as well. We went to El Yunque National Forest and the island of Culebra, both were fun!

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
St. Thomas is a great island, so much to see and do! We rented a car and went to Mountain Top to enjoy the view and shopping. We then went down to Magen’s Bay to enjoy the beach and snorkeling! Magen’s Bay has so many turtles, so incredible!

Basseterre, St. Kitts

5 out of 5
St Kitts surprised me! It was such a beautiful island!! We rented a car and drove completely around the island. Our favorite stopping point was at Brimstone Hill Fortress. This Fortress has spectacular views of the island and has interesting history. Definitely don’t miss the Fortress when your in St Kitts!

St. John's, Antigua

5 out of 5
Antigua was pretty and one of the cleanest islands that we visited. We went to Shirley Heights point, which is a beautiful lookout over English Harbor! We also went to Long Bay to snorkel and enjoy the beach. The sand was pinkish and the water was really clear, definitely worth stopping by!

Castries, St. Lucia

5 out of 5
St. Lucia was our favorite island that we visited! Such a green and gorgeous island! We rented a car and drove to the Pitons. The views of the Pitons along the drive and near Anse Chasenet Bay were incredible! We went to Sugar Beach right in between the two Pitons! I definitely recommend coming here! The beach was pretty and had great views of the Pitons!

Bridgetown, Barbados

We went to Mount Gay Rum Distillery to get a history tour and have rum tasting. The tour was a lot of fun and enjoyed being at the very first rum distillery.

Disembarkation
