Ship was fun and pretty. I feel food was better on HAL. Nightlife was pretty good. Enjoyed the big music/dance parties on the Promenade. Loved the 70’s disco events!! The shops & venues on the Promenade were great! Pizza place was so good. Wish the MDR food was more flavorful & more variety- especially in deserts.

Service was great- food, not so much. MDR food was a disappointment. So bland. Not much flavor. Maybe they have to keep it that way to accommodate for a wide variety of diners?!? Best meal was the Mystery Dinner at the Italian specialty place- best steak ever! Buffet was pretty good. Lots of variety.

Opening show was great! Mystery dinner was awesome- actors had great personalities! Closing show was great. Comedian was good. Didn’t care for Marquis, but maybe just a preference- I’m not much for broadway stuff. Talented bunch of young people- fun seeing them in different venues. Charlotte was awesome.

Ship design was fine. I liked the layout- huge ship though. Took longer to get places. It helped that we booked our room in the center of the ship. Hallways to rooms smelled like mildew. Very strong smell. Sometimes when we’d come back from excursions they would have fans in the hallways. Carpeting was pretty bad in hallways.

Cabin/balcony size was fine. Enjoyed the larger table on balcony. (HAL has tiny tables) Bed & linens felt great. I would like them to up their bathroom routine. I like to SMELL the cleaning in there.
Ship tip
We ate at buffet more than I ever have due to MDR not being the best. Get a “spacious balcony” category room.
So much to see, want to go back. Did the post cruise excursion where they drop you off in town, they keep your bags & they pick you back up at a designated time/place. Then they take you to airport. Worked out great as we had a4:00 flight.
Did the party boat watching planes come in & snorkeling. It was ok. Didn’t see anything snorkeling & water was murky. Just floating & rum punch was good though.
Did the rail& sail. Loved the sail part! Rail was ok, little boring after the first few minutes. Did learn about the island though. Lady singers were great.
Island is pretty. SO MUCH TRAFFIC! Did the mud bath, volcano & lunch. Disappointed in the lunch- not as spectacular a view as I’d seen online with the lunch place high in the hills.
Pirate ship party/snorkeling was GREAT! The staff were great- really mixed in with us & encouraged dancing & party atmosphere. So fun. Snorkeling was sooooo crowded with other tour boats as well. Still, good visibility & saw a couple turtles online with fish. Snorkeling at the shipwreck was cool.
