Review summary

This was my 11 th cruise and my 6th cruise with Royal Caribbean. It was one of my very best cruise experiences. Lovely ship. Had the most awesome weather 80s and sunny for a whole week. Great ports of call. I did not have a bad meal the whole trip. Windjammer(the buffet restaurant) has really improved the quality and selection of food. The mexican specialty restaurant was worth the extra $25 per person. I will definitely sail with Royal Caribbean again.

Embarkation

extremely well organized, took less than 15 minutes to check in from start to finish

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Sabor- Mexican specialty restaurant was excellent-best Margaritas on the ship Windjammer has really improved the quality and selection of food

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Lots of activities offered all times of the day. The Spa is wonderful. Plenty of chairs around the pool-even able to find a lounge chair on sea days.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The stage shows were very good. The cruise director and his team did an awesome job hosting the activities around the ship. They really made the trivia contests so much fun.

Children's Programs

do not have kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was so pleasant and helpful. Always making sure we had what we needed.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Really nice layout. The ship is large but not so large that you are overwhelmed. The promenade is always busy and fun to hang out in in between activities. Every area was super clean. Maintenance is always on going.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Nice size cabin. Wish the beds were a little bigger. Bathroom is a bit small but manageable. Balcony is a really good size.

Ship tip

I loved being on deck 8 towards the rear of the ship. Easy access to all the activities up on deck 11 including windjammer and pools .

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
Old San Juan is very walkable. Explored the area on my own. Also there is a free trolley but never seemed to time it right to catch it.

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
Lovely port. Beautiful colors. Mambo Beach was a great area. Wish the excursion had given us more time there.

Oranjestad, Aruba

3 out of 5
Aruba is definitely not the prettiest island. No mountains or lush vegetation. Beach is beautiful. Shopping was very disappointing. Too many tacky souvenir shops.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

4 out of 5
took an excursion over to Nevis the sister island which was lovely.Quiet and beautiful beach. Shopping was fun with lots to choose from.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
My favorite island. took a tour that included mountain top observation area- great views of Magens Bay, 2 hours of beachtime at Magens Bay was perfect and 2 hours of prime shopping time in downtown Charlotte Amalie-great selection of jewelry stores.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Disembarkation was delayed for 45 minutes, but once we were cleared to disembark the whole process took about 15 minutes to get off the ship, get luggage, clear customs and catch a cab to the airport.
