Really good experience. Great staff on board the ship. The itinerary can't be any better. Beautiful island after island and there is always something to view while you are at sea. Islands everywhere. Food was great, weather was great. Looking forward to my next cruise.
Embarkation

The traffic getting to the cruise terminal was very heavy. Once we actually got dropped off at the pier the whole check in process was very smooth and quick. Got through security and on board in about 10-15 minutes.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food on the ship was wonderful. The main dining room was great. The waitstaff was very attentive. The waiter remembered my drink order as soon as he saw me the second night. The food in the MDR was always very good. The food in the Windjammer although just about the same for the entire cruise was varied and plentiful. You could eat a different type of cuisine each night and not repeat yourself. The waitstaff in the Windjammer was also very attentive. Pizza in Sorrento's was always fresh and hot.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There are so many things to do on this ship. We watched the NFL games out by the pool. The trivia games in the Schooner bar and the theaters are always very fun. Watching the people try to learn to surf on the flowrider is always fun! Comedians were great. If you can't find something to do on this ship you aren't trying!!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Comedians always engaged with the first few rows of audience so choose your seat wisely! Ice show was good but fills up quickly so go early for best seating. Musical performers are in venues all over the ship and were all entertaining.
Children's Programs
No kids.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
I have no complaints about any staff we encountered. All staff were helpful and tried to assist with whatever question or concern we had.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was very well maintained with daily cleanliness. There are some worn areas on the ship - just needs to be refurbished. (The railing in our balcony was not completely varnished). For the amount of people on and off this ship on a daily basis they are doing an amazing job keeping it clean and in good shape.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The bed was very comfortable. The room was a good size for the two of us and the balcony was roomy. The bathroom was good but the shower is tiny. Gets the job done though so no worries. The television in the room was smaller then I expected. We like to get away from the crowds every now and again and just have some quite time in the room renting a movie. Didn't have any trouble navigating the television system. The room would get really warm if you do no keep the heavy drapes closed during the day. Make sure to tell your cabin stewart to keep the drapes closed to keep the room cool. They will keep them open if you don't. Also the refrigerator is a cooler only. It will keep your drinks cool, not cold. Overall was very pleased with my cabin choice.
Ship tip
I noticed that I really felt movement much more in the front of the ship then in the back. I would try to get a stateroom around midship /back on level 7 or 8. Most of the activities and dining are on decks 4, 5, 11, 12. You will have easier access. We always took the stairs rather then the elevators. Also, deck 4 has the outside balconies that run the length of the ship. Those are a quick way to get from one end of the ship to other other without a crowd.
We did the Reef Riders excursion through RC. We got a history of Antigua from the taxi driver to the marina. The reef riding was very fun. You could tell the reef was still recovering from the hurricane. The market place was very crowded as they were having a Christmas market as it was a week before the holiday. Was fun to see their culture.
We did the zip lining excursion through RC. It was so much fun. I highly recommend this. There is a 40 minute water taxi ride over to Souffries to get to the sugar plantation so you get a good look at the island and a good narration regarding the history. We were late back to the ship and it is true - if you book through RC the ship will wait for you!
Took $5 taxi ride to the Boatyard. Paid $25 to get in. That gives you a welcome drink, umbrella, chairs, non motarized water toys, free snorkeling excursion and a shuttle back to this ship. There is a full service bar & restaurant here. Along with a very beautiful beach of course. Highly recommend this!
We took a taxi, $32 round trip for two of us to Maho Beach to watch the planes take off and land. Super fun experience. There is a full service restaurant and bar here. They will charge you $20 if you want use of the umbrella and chairs. You don't have to - there were plenty of people just sitting on towels on the beach. It gets very crowded when the excursions show up. I recommend doing this on your own.
We did an excursion on our last day here. Our flight didn't leave until 3:30pm. I did this on purpose as on two of my prior four cruises got in late to port and I didn't want to miss my flight. (one was late due to a medical issue of a passenger - the ship had to be turned around, the other was heavy fog and we couldn't get in to port). Anyhow, the ship took our luggage to the airport for us and we got to go explore San Juan for four hours and then the shuttle picked us up and took us to the airport. Win Win!
