The ship was nice, the wait staff were friendly and the food was good.
Fix the Harry Potter trivia (hell, I'll do it for free and I'll make it more engaging), require deodorant for all staff members, follow weight requirements for handicap lifts into the pools. Those lifts are for disabled, not the morbidly obese to break. And tell the staff on Labadee, Haiti to help guests even if they don't want to.
Embarkation

Embarking was fine. The rain delayed luggage getting to the rooms, but that was fine. The staff kept us up to date on what was still coming in.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

The food was delicious. Never a boring meal. My favorite was the rack of lamb with mint jelly. Chops Grille was lovely.
I was surprised at how mundane the lunch was in the Windjammer cafe though. The same stuff every day.
Also, why isn't Johnny Rockets open for lunch? Big missed opportunity there, folks!
Onboard Activities

The bar and waitstaff were lovely and although crowded was still fun to go up on deck. I was disappointed that the only handicap lift for the pool and hot tub on the port side of deck 11 was broken by a very overweight guest. My husband is a paraplegic and that was his only way to get into the pool. So we opted for the beach on Haiti instead but wish we could have gone to the pool. Perhaps weight limits should be observed by staff. There are limits for a reason.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Have a way for wheelchair-accessible guests to get to the arcadia theatre stage. It was my and my husband's honeymoon, and we would have loved to participate in the Love and Marriage game, but there was only stairs so that was a bit disappointing. A small ramp is all that is needed.
Other than that issue, the shows were great and very fun to watch.
I won second place in the Harry Potter trivia, but the staff member hosting it didn't have his powerpoint set up right, slides were wrong and the audience had to correct his information. Personally, I would have loved to put together a better Harry potter Trivia game for guests to enjoy.
Children's Programs
I don't have kids.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Our room steward, Jawi, was fantastic. I had just a one issue. Our drink waiter at dinner time. I understand that individuals from different cultures have different beliefs, habits, and traditions. However- if you work in the entertainment and hospitality industry, particularly for Royal Caribbean, I feel that deodorant should be required of all staff members. He wasn't a bad waiter, he was very friendly, but you could.. smell.. that he was working hard and it did put me off my meal a few times.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The layout and design of the ship was nice. After about two days, it was easy to navigate. Very well maintained and never looked dirty.
Cabin / Stateroom

The room was great! the balcony was lovely, we ate breakfast out there often, and the room was perfect for my husband's wheelchair to navigate. the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was easily accessible for him and the closet space was roomy.
Ship tip
Take the stairs more. The elevators are so clogged up with people that it takes nearly 10 minutes to get from one floor to the other.
I understand that the monkeys are the 'schtick' of St. Kitts, but the fact that the monkeys have their teeth ripped out when they are babies and dressed up to take pictures with tourists was terrible to see. It was depressing and made me a little upset.
It should state whether or not island's are wheel-chair friendly. After about a minute of being on the island, it was clear that the only way for my husband to navigate his chair on the island would be to drive in the street, which didn't look safe. We turned right around and went back on board the ship.
The beach and island itself was beautiful.
The problem we had was with a staff member on Labadee, Haiti. The nearly all the staff on Labadee were helpful, except for the one individual we needed help from. R.C. staff at guest services on the ship had told us that the staff on the island would be able to get us a beach wheelchair that would allow my husband to get to the ocean to swim. Again, he is paraplegic and can not walk into the ocean. When arriving, we were told there were only two chairs and both were in use. After an hour of waiting for a staff member who said he would be right back never showed up, we went to talk to another staff member at the entrance of the private island. He told me that there were no such beach chairs and didn't know what I was talking about. Then I was told by a female staff member that the individual, who just told me he didn't know what I was talking about, was the one responsible for the beach wheelchairs. Upon seeing me point at him, he went around the corner of the building and (as if by magic) pulled out a beach wheelchair.
I was very upset at the lack of care from this man. It was clear that he didn't want to be bothered by me and that lack of care was preventing my paraplegic husband from enjoying his honeymoon with me. I was very upset by this but tried not to let it bring down the rest of my honeymoon.
Thanks for the feedback. We did FotS and we too had one activity where their PowerPoint wasn't set up. We still had a good time, but we got the sense that some of the crew weren't that familiar with the ship.
