A bit of a Rocky start, but smooth sailings thereafter.

Review summary

The service staff was quite spectacular, the food and drinks were great! We really enjoyed all of the activities to do on the ship. We wish there was better communication about the events prior to boarding the ship, I called to inquire but very little information was provided. With a large family, it would have been nice to make an itinerary for everyone. For example, I wish I would have known about the different theme nights ahead of time.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Greeted by friendly bell staff and embarkation agents. I was traveling with elderly parents and they had us check into a smaller line to assist them.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The wait staff and bartenders were simply amazing! We loved the food at windjammer and the drinks all over the ship but particularly Boleros.

Main Dining Rooms (Galileo, Isaac & Leonardo)

5 out of 5

Our waiter and beverage waiter were simply amazing in regards to service. We felt bad because we really loved the dinning room and service but the food was lackluster. We dined there 3 nights and on the 3rd we decided to eat exclusively at Windjammer since the food was superior in terms of taste and heat.

Boleros Lounge

5 out of 5

Friendly bartenders and amazing music, we spent everyday here!!! Wish the venue was bigger to allow for more sitting areas and bigger dance floor.

Windjammer Marketplace

5 out of 5

The food choices were amazing, everyone got what they liked. The staff was out of this world, such personalized service. A++++

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
We really enjoyed the the shows and some of the activities on board, however we wish we would have received information about things to do on the ship prior to departure. I even called RC prior and I could not be given specific details about shows and special nights. There were 2 formal nights, one 70's night, that we didn't know of. Additionally, we never knew when we could ice skate, so we never got to do it. All shows were amazing, we just wish they had been described to us with showtimes and descriptions to make the most out of our time on the ship.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All shows were great but Marquee took the crown. AMAZING!!!

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Loved this venue, so nice!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
5 star service all across the service staff.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Great.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Our room was ok, we should have upgraded but the ship was sold out. Our room attendant was very good keeping our room neat and clean!

Ship tip

You cannot connect to other rooms on the second floor directly.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Not impressed with the Port.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
