Review summary

I am very disjointed with this overall trip. I do not feel like the staff as a whole was very friendly/helpful. I do think that since I started cruising with royal Caribbean that the prices are going up and the service has gone way down. I'm not sure if we will be back or be looking at another cruise line. We go every other year so I will be doing some research.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Dining room was nice food was not as good as it has been in the past. Staff was some of the nicest staff we experienced. They were all very kind and polite. It was refreshing compared to some of our not so nice staff we unfortunately experienced.

The casino is nice again the staff (not all) but more than should, were crabby!! Rude, I just kept saying to out group "were the ones loosing all this money and there crabby, rude WOW" very disappointing to be spending so much money and be treated rude.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin smelled so soo bad when we walked in after being in the room I had a headache. I did tell the staff and they sprayed another spray so the mixture of the two was worse. I opened the door and thank goodness had brought my own frebreeze and buy day 4 it was livable. Good we weren't in the room that much!! I asked for hangers on Sunday and never received them, we wanted some water for the fridge and never got that, asked for extra towels they never came. We asked for something to be added to the mattress of our bed as it was horrible to sleep on and my husband has a very bad back. Needless to say nothing ever happened with that either. We were traveling with 6 others who also had bed issues. I was on vacation and was not going to spend my whole trip chasing someone down to get these things done. I did ask more than once and after that I just tried to make the best of it and spend time with my people. Just very very disappointed!!!

Ship tip

Make sure you take water and pop to your room during the day, even though the prices keep going up the service has gone down and if you want a water or pop (that used to be in your refrigerator) they will charge you a ridiculous amount of money to bring it to you and for the item. Apparently that is not included.

Not much to do, your confined to a small area and the drinks should be included on that island.

Cozumel, Mexico

I wish we would have docked buy down town. it felt like we got off the ship at my local mall. The shopping right there was not that great. I feel like the true culture is lost at this make shift port. We also didn't feel like it was ok to leave the area as there were officers at every exit. I was looking forward to down town so I was disappointed at this port.

Disembarkation

The luggage was organized and we found ours right away.

I will agree, but all the research I've done and rc is still the way to go.
