Review summary

Only two things that were alittle annoying, thought the wind jammer buffet was very confusing how it was set up, food in main dinning room was often cold, and last did not like that tip being adding to split among all employees, was told that they work for us No they work for Royal Caribbean. All and all had a great time.

You can go to guest services if you feel your service wasn't worth it and request that the gratuity be removed from your account and that you will be paying individuals in cash. We always tip extra along with the pre paid gratuities when booking our cruise. I always have a couple of 5$ bills somewhere on me or in my bag specifically for just that exemplary service and extra for my room steward and pool bar servers the last night of the cruise. I know of some that tip that extra the first night of their cruise.

If you think your Waiter and assistance Waiter along with the cabin Stewart are worth the extra, give them a little extra cash. I do when I believe that they did a outstanding job.

The staff get it, as well as any cash tips. It all gets pooled and divided. They also know who hasn't paid their gratuities.

Cruise lines, all of them, take automatic "gratuity" into the overall pool of revenue from a ship. Don't buy into the notion it goes directly, 100% to employees. They get paid, sure, all from the company, but the automatic gratuity is just another stream of revenue to the company. More likely much of it goes to executive bonuses.
