Review summary

We thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment and all the wonderful people we met during our cruise. New Year's Eve on the Promenade was $$$, and while it was crowded, there are places on the ship (computer rooms) with chairs overlooking the Promenade and 20 people or so joined there to watch the balloons fall and wish each other Happy New Year. We did enjoy a brief visit to the Solarium and it certainly was more quiet than the public pool area.

As Diamond members, we enjoyed the Lounge nightly and met more wonderful servers, (Ariel) and guests. Looking forward to our next cruise.

The food was excellent and the waiters were terrific. However, assistant waiters seemed to lack proper training in the art of serving.

Neptali Seva, our waiter at table 322 was superb and he was very personable.

Carpets need to be cleaner, or replaced. This was our 3rd cruise on Freedom and it is starting to look a bit shabby.

Cabin / Stateroom

Carpet needed cleaning and wind screen on balcony was dirty. Never washed during cruise.

Ship tip

The pizza on the promenade is frozen pizza. Not as good as it used to be. Cupcake cupboard is a pleasant addition. If you're looking for a good cup of free coffee, Promenade café has self service beverages at back of shop. Excellent snacks. The food in the dining room was excellent.
