Freedom of the Seas

7 Night Western Caribbean (Port Canaveral Roundtrip)

Sail date: September 25, 2016

Ship: Freedom of the Seas

Cabin type: Suite

Cabin number: 1664

Traveled as: Couple

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Review summary

We were upgraded from a Superior Ocean View Balcony to Jr. Suite for a $300 up-charge. Beware though, getting an upgrade in this manner will not earn double cruise points as we found out later. If we had known this, we would have stayed with the first balcony cabin.

Having said this, the cabin was very nice including a walk-in closet! We were only able to fill about 50% of the storage space with our belongings. Actually, we preferred this Jr. Suite to a Grand Suite that we had booked in May of this year (same ship, Freedom of the Seas).

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

If you don't eat like a pig in the Dining Room, they think something is wrong and they bug you about the amount of food you are eating. For this reason, we only ate in the Dining Room two nights.

Ship tip

Given the choice, take a Jr. Suite over a Grand Suite. We felt it was better laid out.
