Review summary

It was a wonderful experience. This was the first time I had cruised with Holland America and it certainly won’t be my last. I liked the smaller ship and this food quality. Of course, Alaska is so beautiful to visit.

I used Verifly and we basically walked right on! So easy and quick.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was excellent everywhere. There wasn’t one meal that my husband and I thought was less than excellent. My favorite dessert was the bread pudding with custard sauce that I found at the lunch buffet.

Tamarind

Could I give this venue ten starts? It was incredible, food service, views…it was perfect!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
For us, it was perfect. Coming from the east coast, we were tired at night with the time change, but we did enjoy some of the shows. There were things to do on the ship when we wanted to do things during the day and early evening. We mainly enjoyed our quiet time on our balcony.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Hard to rate because we are not late night people, but we enjoyed what we saw.

Service and Staff

Can’t say enough. Ship was far less than capacity, so we got lots of attention. I felt very pampered!

Very comfortable for two people

Ship tip

If you are on the Alaska cruise, have the split pea soup after viewing Glacier Park.
