Review summary

Our once in a lifetime trip to Alaska was on the Eurodam. Beware of rainy August weather. The first few days were ruined by our unexpected cabin change but decided to just enjoy the trip. The port excursions were very good. Food choices excellent. Onboard shopping limited.

A little outdated decor overall

So disappointed!!! We booked a specific (aft)cabin, printed our boarding pass about 2 weeks before, but on arrival, our cabin was changed. Really upsetting and it was a total surprise. Went to our expected cabin and it was already occupied. We were not asked if we wanted to change and although the ship considered it an upgrade, it was definitely NOT to us!

Ship tip

Although online info pre-cruise said every night was casual attire, they had 2 dressy nights. Be prepared. Nice lounge area for reading and games on deck 11

Happen to us on our last trip on the N. Amsterdam “because of issues”. I threw a hissy fit at the service desk because I picked that room specially and the ‘upgrade’ was a downgrade and I explained why. It was 20:30 before it was ready, but we had our nice aft room.
