Review summary

We had never been that interested in taking a cruise but now wish we had started years ago. Would like to take the Sea of Cortez cruise. Will try another cruise line to compare it to Holland America. It was a very mellow cruise for the most part, many older people on board.

Service and Staff

Amazing service.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Seemed very good but we’ve never been on any other cruise ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We were surprised at all the storage. Didn’t feel confined. The tenders were right below us might go up a deck or two next time. Didn’t affect our view at all.

Ship tip

Visit the Crows Nest on deck 11 for a good view and also check out the many area on the outside decks.

Ports of call

San Diego, California

5 out of 5
Didn’t do an excursion but San Diego is one of my favorite cities, there is so much to do. Would recommend getting there a day or more before the cruise.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

5 out of 5
No excursion. Stayed on ship, the view was amazing!

Mazatlan, Mexico

3 out of 5
Did the Pacifico Brewery Excursion...do not recommend. Mazatlan is pretty run down near the Brewery and the whole tour just wasn’t worth it.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

5 out of 5
Looked and felt like Maui and also Europe in some areas, very beautiful.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very organized and easy.

Thanks for sharing your cruise.

Thanks for the good review, and January tends to be older cruisers than the summer months. 156 days until Alaska.
