Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main dining was great! Always friendly staff, fresh cuisine and many options at that.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Activites seemed somewhat directed towards an older age group (my husband and I are 29). We had a couples massage which was nice, but it was followed by a 20 minute pressure sales pitch for the products used. I multiple times informed both massage therapists we would think about the product and come back. I'm not sure why there was so much pressure to purchase products directly after the massage but it definitely ruined the relaxing feel I was going for. Next time we wont be wasting $400 on a massage to then be pressured to spend even more money on products we weren't necessarily interested in. The dance classes were fun! The classes held in BB Kings lounge were great! The class held in the crowd nest was not the best! We could feel a ton of movement and paired with dancing made us both quite uneasy feeling.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows were great! 1000 steps performers were great!

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
My daughter (8) liked it, my son (6) thought it was ok but preferred not going. I did not love the split of the age groups, I felt that could have been different. Also the xbox room was a bit odd and the rules for it. Otherwise the staff for the clubs were all fantastic and remembered my kids by name which made them feel more welcome.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward was fantastic! Always accommodating to our changing a schedule and took the extra time to make certain everything was exactly perfect. Also the towel art was something my kids absolutely loved and looked forward to each night.

Cabin / Stateroom

Much larger than expected! We brought 9 bags (yes 9 I know thats crazy), and all items were comfortably stored in the closets/drawers with the luggage below the bed. I do wish the bathroom had an electric outlet, but the mirror by the balcony worked for this issue.

Ports of call

San Diego, California

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

The port is not a nice area. We did a "glass bottom boat tour", and although it was nice, it's not what you expect. The glass bottom of the boat is very small like a window. I would not pay to do that again.

Mazatlan, Mexico

5 out of 5
We loved Mazatlan! I did not purchase an excursion, instead we took a taxi to Las Flores Resort which was fantastic! Free resort with beach access, 2 pools, hot tub, bar service and a full restaurant! The beach does have locals selling (as expected), but you just have to be aware they are very persistent. The resort provided private cabanas, chairs, etc all at no charge which blew my mind. Las Flores was the most welcoming and friendly place! This was by far our highlight of the trip!

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

5 out of 5
We visited the dolphin discovery and swam with the dolphins. The water was absolutely freezing and we were in the shade which didn't help. My son was too small to swim with them, but my daughter thoroughly enjoyed it. The water park was also quite fun! Many slides and swimming areas for all ages. Free lockers, and the restaurant was delicious!
