Review summary

Never experienced the Mexican Riveria from a cruise before, so I don't know how typical the trip was. I do know that the boat had a lot of motion and was difficult to sleep at times. The pool was actually sloshing over at times due to all the motion. Our last trip was to the Carribbean and was much smoother. If you're prone to sea-sickness, be aware. The shops didn't even sell basic medicines, band-aids, etc., although they had a LOT of T shirts. LOL

Service and Staff

We wanted a room with a king bed and were surprised that we got two twin beds. Needless to say, we were shocked at departure when our room was "changed over" into a king bed! Nobody ever asked us if our room was correct or if we needed any changes! The staff was nice enough and efficient, but didn't go out of the way the way we experienced on other lines.

Smallish. A lot smaller than we experienced on Carnival, and for a lot more money.

Ports of call

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Just not much going on here. Very average destination picked more for convenience (i believe) than for any real significance.

Mazatlan, Mexico

We did a Segway tour that was fun, but poorly organized. We waited almost an hour in the sun while the non-experienced among us learned and practiced. I understand the need, but it was very uncomfortable. Our guide showed us "Mazatlan according to Carlos" ignoring the obvious history and beauty of the city and showing us where he hung out as a kid. Additionally, he kept showing us "broken houses" that we could buy and restore!

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

5 out of 5
This is the gem of the trip. Historic, beautiful, diverse and safe. We loved, loved this port! When I return to Puerto Vallarta, it won't be on a cruise ship!

Disembarkation

Seemed well organized although a bit slow. Our luggage was damaged and nobody was around to report it to.
