Review summary

I think I've said enough. But since this was our first Alaska cruise and first time on HAL, I had great hopes that this would be a dream cruise. It sadly, was not to be.

I found out why someone had stuck towels behind the TV on the wall on the first day we were moving. The vibration in this cabin was unbelievable. Never in 13 cruises - 4 of which have been aft cabins such as this, have I experienced anything even close to this. It rattled and shook the entire time we were moving -- this was not due to weather or waves. It was due to speed. I have enough experience to know what's semi-normal and what's not. This was definitely not. I love the aft wake and aft cabins....this was a zero. I did not sleep and when I cannot sleep, how is one to enjoy themselves while on vacation? Our neighbors right next door, moved after the first night. I thought they were wussies since we were going 22 knots northbound against the Pacific Current and with winds out of the west....they were obviously smarter than we were. They were in a balcony cabin -- I know there were some available for them to move to. THere were none in our category to move to.
