Review summary

The cabin stewards are terrific - everything we asked for was accommodated. The guest relations team could be more informed - we rec'd different information from each person we asked a question: we were using a new luggage system and the paperwork wasn't clear so we asked 3 different people in guest relations and got 3 different answers. The ports were great - arrived early to each one except Victoria, which was unfortunate since it was an evening only port with already limited options. Overall, this is a great itinerary.

This ship doesn't have things like rock-climbing walls and water slides - it's a basic ship. We didn't use the pool or hot tub, but saw that some people did.

Ship tip

Two tips: Go to the Crows Nest for amazing views and Familiarize yourself with the overall layout so you understand which elevators service which parts of which decks - not all elevators go to all decks. Stairs are your friends!

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

Seattle should be renamed "Tent City." There were miles of tents lining the freeway so the scenic drive from the airport to the port was not a pretty fall leaves changing colors kind of drive. The landscape was dirty and unkempt. The city spent $20 million on a ferris wheel but won't keep the city clean? It was a huge disappointment to find the eco-friendly city known for tourism is a place I never want to go back to.

Beautiful port with many excursion options. The bears were delightful! The whale sightings were incredible - too many to count!

Ketchikan, Alaska

Victoria, British Columbia

We were late getting clearance to get off the ship so an already short stay became even shorter. The excursion options for an evening stop are very limited - there are plenty if you arrive during the day - and being dark there was not an opportunity to see much. We did shuttle to downtown to eat - the city was clean and the shuttle easy to navigate.
