Review summary

An enjoyable trip as a whole. I probably over hyped the ship before my trip making it hard for it to meet all my expectations. Rough waters and lots of rocking made for a less enjoyable trip. Once we made it to Juneau things did improve.

I may have hyped the food up to much in my mind before the trip. Nothing stood out as great and only ok in most cases. I had a grilled cheese that when delivered had hard chesse. I’m used to a melted cheese on my grilled cheese sandwiches. I will say the Lido breakfast where they made my blueberry pancakes to order really was great. Moved much faster than I expected.

I hated that the main dining room is on levels two and three most nights I could not hear my travel companion over the engine noises.

Cabin / Stateroom

Room size was probably about the same as most ships. It felt smaller because the sofa is next to the balcony door so you have to shimmy between the bed and the wall to get to the sitting area. It was ok. The center closet door did not close well so in rougher waters it could bang at night.
