Ship tip

Some people mentioned that the Eurodam was an older ship with rather “dated” appointments. Don’t let that deter you from booking a cruise on this fine ship.

It rained while we were here. The port was nice, it’s just that the rain hampered our ability to see the Mendenhall Glacier. The tour of the fish hatchery and the salmon bake were both great!

We heartily recommend the excursion to see the sea otters and whales. This is well worth the modest cost. We saw many Humback whales and sea otters. The pilot of the excursion boat was knowledgeable and a great tour guide!

Ketchikan, Alaska

We visited Ketchikan on our own and especially enjoyed a visit at the National Park Visitors’ Center where they had a diorama and many other exhibits.
