Review summary

This was our 15th cruise but first Holland America cruise. The food, service, staff and cleanliness of the ship were excellent. The decor of the ship was kind of dull and the entertainment was lacking. Not enough entertainment choices in the evenings and the bars were frequently unattended. Despite these negative comments I would do this cruise again and would recommend it.

We were on Eurodam the week before you. Been on many cruises but this was our first HAL cruise. Loved it. Booked 1 HAL in July which was excellent and have another in October. Agree service food and cleanliness excellent.

Just sailed on the Eurodam in Jan 2018. Of all the HAL ships we have been on, this is by far our favorite. Great staff, excellent DR staff and room stewards. Would absolutely do it again. We are sailing in Jan 2019 on the Koningsdam but expect it to be as wonderful as the Eurodam.

Try Nieuw Amsterdam. Older crowd. Everything fantastic. Delicious food everywhere. Amazing staff, always friendly and smiling, our room steward always greeted us by name when he saw us and asked how our day was at the different ports. Not a lot to do in the day on the ship but relaxing at the pool was great, no loud music. Loved it.
