Review summary

This was a bit on the expensive side overall. Budget and plan in advance for hidden costs (room charges, tips, etc.) The spa package was worth it to me as the only adult in my party of 10 without children. Sometimes you need a place to be quiet. Plan ahead to maximize what excursions you want to participate in. Lots of sight seeing on this, don't forget to bring a pair binoculars. I forgot mine and they would have been very handy.

Very quick, got you right on board.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The Pinnacle Grill was excellent. Main dining room food was better than the Lido deck buffet.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Singers and Band in the B.B. King's Club were very good.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
Not much entertainment for teens. Ok for younger kids but there wasn't much attendance in Club HAL.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
I didn't have any negative experiences with service or staff. Guest Services was very helpful and information was readily given. Our room steward Bo was very nice!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
It was small but clean and comfortable. The interior rooms are a bit dark. Once you go into sleep, it's hard to wake up quickly. Don't forget to set your alarm every night.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

Give yourself time to see the city. Seattle is an excellent city to see. The down town area is easily walk-able despite the hills. We found that Uber and Lyft made it easy to get around or to the hilly parts of the city.

Juneau, Alaska

4 out of 5
Great port, very nice people. We walked most of the port in a downpour but still had some fun.

Sitka, Alaska

4 out of 5
Downtown area was nice, the bus ride to downtown was made great by the Bus Driver, who gave some historical info and helpful hints.

Ketchikan, Alaska

4 out of 5
Very busy, wish we had more time here. Didn't really have enough time to see enough of the downtown area.

Victoria, British Columbia

5 out of 5
Wish we had stayed in this port longer. Make sure if you dock in the evening to get right off so you can see all the city. We walked from port to Fisherman's Wharf and up to the Government buildings and then back. Very clean and safe city. Locals are very helpful and friendly.
