Review summary

It was an experience of a lifetime. How wonderful to see yet another majestic area of our beautiful country. The weather was perfect, except for the fact that I was not prepared for the cold at Glacier Bay. Found a nice jacket for $40! Very little rain. Sunshine at most of the ports. Beautiful1

Embarkation

It was a little delayed due to the cruise line disinfecting the ship due to Norovirus that was on the cruise prior to ours. other than that all was good.

I did a couple of seminars. It was very informative. The rest of the time I enjoyed a very laid back atmosphere. Saved my energy for all of the time at the various ports.

we weren't there very long. we did find an excellent Thai restaurant for our dinner. It seems as if there is a lot of things to do.

We went on the Glacier sea Kayaking trip. It was truly majestic. We saw Eagles up close and personal.

Sitka, Alaska

We enjoyed walking around the town. We came across a salmon hatchery just to the right, behind where the bus dropped us off. It was $5 to walk through and had a small tour. After that we walked through a totem pole park. We wandered around for a while and found the shops. I have to say there is not much when it comes to made in Alaska, or even in America. Sad to say.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
It's a beautiful port to stop at for a few hours. We did not do any excursions. We checked out the sights and wandered through town.

Victoria, British Columbia

We had to walk a very long way to find a restaurant for dinner. It was a bit confusing as time was somewhat limited. Town was quite a distance away, There did seem to be a lot to do.

Disembarkation

All went smoothly.

Very little rain - you picked a very good week. Not many cruises can say that this year (for Alaska).
