Review summary
We were in one of the Neptune suites, and everything was luxury plus. All of the staff we interacted with regularly knew our names and said hello Mr. & Mrs. .... whenever they saw us. The scenery was spectacular, particularly Glacier Bay. The food was excellent--steak and lobster and prime rib and creme brulee, and the crisps (apple, pineapple, blueberry) were to die for for desert. The entertainment was wonderful, particularly the Lincoln Center violin quartet and piano, and we enjoyed a massage at the spa.
This was one of the most memorable vacations we have ever taken, and we plan to go back to Alaska to see more. The stops were short. We could have used more time at each port--we felt a bit rushed, particularly in Sitka, but overall it was a wonderful experience. We were a bit concerned about sea sickness, but after the first day and one Bonine, we were fine the rest of the way.

Ship tip
Don't overpack, but you will need warm (but not heavy) clothes for shore excursions. A long sleeve shirt, sweater and waterproof windbreaker will generally be enough. Take a small umbrella for each person. The rain is not heavy, but it comes and goes. We were fortunate--it only rained one day.
