Review summary

I have to say that this has been the best cruise and best vacation I have taken! I cruised with my oldest daughter, and this was our first time to cruise with Holland America and my 5th cruise.  The week before our cruise, our room was upgraded from an interior room to an outside room with obstructed view.  Even though the view was obstructed, it was so nice to walk up to the awesomeness that is Alaska.

We pre booked one excursion, kayaking at Juneau, and then we booked zip lining @ Ketchikan and both excursions were well worth the money.

The Eurodam was an awesome ship and very easy to navigate.  We attended several fitness seminars, bingo, nightly shows, trivia games and the clubs at night.

The wait staff in the dining room was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly.  They not only made sure all our needs were met at dinner time, they also told us about other things going on in the dining room.  Our wine steward, Tina, was exceptionally helpful.

I really can't say enough good things about this cruise, and I would  highly recommend it to anyone, whether a first time cruiser or seasoned cruiser.  I definitely will take another Alaskan cruise in the future.

Ship tip

If you enjoy a cocktail before dinner, be sure to watch for happy hour specials. The best overall advice I can give it to read/review your daily "to do" brochure.
