For the most part the cruise was pleasant & I especially enjoyed the private balcony. Most of the time the food was good. For the first half of the cruise we were in a far aft stateroom which was very uncomfortable during even slightly rough seas. The rolling & shaking of the bed when trying to sleep caused problems for my husband who has a heart condition. I requested & received a change of stateroom closer to mid ship for the second half of the cruise. This was a big improvement & we appreciated the accommodation. I was disappointed that neither stateroom had a lighted magnifying makeup mirror as shown in the stateroom written description & video. My 2 prior cruises were on the ms Veendam & I like the smaller ship size & more personalized service on that ship better than the ms Eurodam. I only went on 1 shore excursion as most were too expensive. Overall,the cruise experience was OK.

Overall, the food was good. We ate most of our meals in the Lido as my husband preferred it to the dining room but sometimes the temperature of the entrees was not as hot as I would have liked. The meals we ate in the dining room were good. We really liked Victor, a server in the Lido. He always remembered us & was very friendly & accommodating.

Rony, the steward in our first stateroom (8152) was excellent. He always called us by name & went above & beyond to make us comfortable. Will, the steward in the second stateroom (6049) was also friendly & attentive; just not as much as Rony.

As previously stated, stateroom 8152 is very far aft so we felt every movement of the ship. Moving to stateroom 6049 was a huge improvement. Both rooms were clean but I was disappointed that neither had the lighted magnifying makeup mirror as shown in the room details. Neither room offered much storage space (drawers) & we had to set our bags on chairs & the small table.
Ship tip
Do not book a stateroom in the aft part of this ship or any other.
I walked around the area outside the terminal for a few minutes but didn't feel safe because I was alone. Didn't like being accosted by all the vendors & tour operators.
