Review summary
The embarkation process went well compared to some cruises we have been on. The service was excellent and the food was very good. However, there was very little to do on the ship. There were several nice lounges that were always empty. they crammed the piano bar into the dinky little casino. The was a large theatre that had only one "gala" show in it. Otherwise, it was used for a snarky "game show" and a lecture on how to do magic tricks. The only steady activity was learning how to deal with Windows 10. Unless you were over 90 or in a coma, there wasn't much to do. The shopping on board was pathetic. They need someone who knows how to use space efficiently and to provide goods a customer would want to buy., There wasn't even a decent t-shirt in the place. The disembarkation was a nightmare. We've been on over 40 cruises. This was our first Holland America cruise and it will be our last.
