Great first cruise! by maria4omns

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Had an amazing time! This was my first cruise and I enjoyed it very much! At first it took us a moment to get acquainted because we were nervous but once the ship took off it was smooth sailing. We began to explore the ship and were just amazed a how much there is to do. There are activities for everyone all day long. wished we could of done more activities but after excursions and day at the beach you kinda have to rest a while. The food is great, theres always something available and open. We went to the dining room only once because the second night at Nassau we ate there, and the third night we ate at the dinner buffet. I honestly dont have another cruise to compare the cruise to but I can honestly we enjoyed it very much.

An issue that needs to b addressed by bossmanwaters

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The only problem I had was with one of r staff members a tall slender guy. Saturday night my lady n I went to the sports lounge i was sitting on the side. She was standing on the dance floor .This guy walked up to her n Whisper something n her ear. .Sunday night we back to the sports lounge n i again was sitting on the side. My lady was sitting at the bar and this same guy went up to her again n Whisper something n her ear. To me that was unexceptioned behavior n needs to b addressed..I didn't want to cost no scene aboard the ship however I will not tolerate this type of behavior again. * Edited 7/21/14 by Cruiseline.com Community Manager to meet our Community Guidelines http://cruiseline.com/guidelines *

Good Time By All by jjm1943

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

the whole cruise was great. food was great and the service was as if you were sitting in a top notch restuarant. i had a very nice suite very spacious lots of closet space and the bathroom was big.

The only problem it was located at the very back of ship (aft) and one or two floors below was

a night club and the music was a little lou so any early to bed person might get upset. You would have

to walk almost the whole length of ship to get to casino, showroom and windjammer luckly the sit down

dining was just two decks below us so walking to that wasn't bad and the adult pool was near us.

All in all this was right up there as one of the best cruises i have taken and highly recommend it.

Wish i lved closer to Port Canaveral. Would take thsi cruise once every 3 onths

For those that that want a quick getaway! by FlagLyn

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We have een on many cruises and this is perfect for us when we just want a few days to getaway.  We celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary.  Our Cabin Steward (Clarence) was just wonderful! We ate only once in the Dining Room (only because we couldn't be seated at a table for 2 any other night in less than 2 hours) and Cinthia was great! (Hint, make you arrangements at the dining room first day)  DO Make the Specialty Restaurant reservations BEFORE you board the ship. They are booked and you will not be able to get one if you wait till you are on the ship (That happened to us). They could really use more than 1 specialty restaurant. The Buffet is pretty good and the service is much better than on some other cruise lines.  The wait staff was always courteous.  Our Room was adequate, quite small, but for a weekend, we could handle it.  As for the very very small shower, I used it as a camp shower. Only turning the water on when I needed to rinse with the hand held shower head, was afraid that water would end up all over the floor. We have taken this cruise twice.  Couldn't speak much about the entertainment, we didn't go to the nightclubs and tried the show the last night and walked out.

The staff through out the entire ship was very pleasant and the ship was clean.  There were a few times that I went into a public restroom that wasn't it's usual clean site.

All and All, I would recommend this for a quick getaway!

GREAT GET-AWAY by burdettelynn

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Enjoyed the cruise and would do it again. All of the cruise personnel were very professional and friendly. We love that they are always ready to help you when you need it.  Have traveled on one other cruise line that was nice, but Royal Caribbean seems to be the best.

The ship is old and smelly. Cocoa beach is muddy. Attractions in Nassau is almost none by urbnel

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The ship is old and smelly. On the swimming pool area the smell of food being prepared is nauseant. Watching a movie at 11:00PM  with the smell of garlic, bacon, etc  is not a pleasant experience.  In general the  attraction in the ship were ok, but nothing outstanding.

Nassau Port is a poor place with very little things to do. To have some fun either you get a boat to Blue Lagoon or visit Atlantis, what can cost you up to $300, depending on the package you select, for just few hours that the ship stays on the port.

Cocoa beach is a cay and is beatiful, but the beach is man made. Get into the water and it turns muddy instantaneosuly.  Stay in the water too long and the "calcarium"  will literally gets under your skin.

4 night Bahamas Cruise by aliza

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was a very enjoyable cruise.  The check-in was easy.  Lunch was ready upon arrival.  The staterooms were ready by 1:00.  We had multiple families traveling and the kids moved rooms which created a little problem in getting beds set the way we needed them.  The first night at dinner, our group was split up between 5 tables but that was worked out by the 2nd night.  The food was great and waiter was awesome!  The weather was fortunately great as well though it was quite hot on the deck.  The deck around the pool was extrememly hot and you had to have shoes on to walk on it.  We had fun towel decorations every night in our stateroom.  The TV on deck by the pool was great to watch the World Cup!  Our snorkeling excursion was also fun and we got to swim with sharks!  Overall, I would definitely recommend this cruise.

Had a Great Time! by marshalldavis

The Cruise was amazing. The staff is fun. Our stateroom was small but always kept clean and neat. Food was good and the wait staff will bring you anything. Enjoyed the shows and taking pictures on the ship.  Drinks were not strong enough for the price, but everything tasted good.

Great! by preciousdugger

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

No complaints the staff was very friendly. I loved the housekeepers they kept our rooms cleaned. Cleaning it 3 times a day. The only thing I didn't like was we stated to the booking person while purchasing the room that we would be celebrating my birthday in on trip.Yet the boat claim they didn't know. Besides that the shows were great and so was the service!

Poor service by mslovewilliams

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Royal Caribean's overall service was okay but there were many mistakes and rude services. Just to name a few, when we went to dinner our waiter was rude. I purchased alcohol with a promotion with free vodka and I did not get my free vodka. Only place where we received excellence service was in our cabin for housekeeping and staff walking around on the deck sometimes. When we went to check my children in the kids camp staff there was rude as well. Once we came home I was promised 25.00 on board credit, however, 800 cruise said that we needed to do that in our welcome letter from them that I never received we did not get our credit and they offered me a credit for future bookings that I would not be making with them. Other than that my kids had fun, but, we will not book with them again.

Bachelorettes take over the Bahamas by bachparty

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

8 of us took on the Enchantment of the Seas for a bachelortte party. Such a great time. Small enough ship where you actually see people you've met around. Short enough, where you can get away for a little & not take too much time off work. Our room attendent was great and so were all our waiters for dinner. Coco Cay was the best, it was so nice to just relax and not have to worry about anything. Wish the boat left more frequently to take to coco cay, but understand why they wait (saves $).

The hammocks were amazing and exactly what I wanted to do when we weren't doing bachelorette stuff.

Recommend for groups & bachelorette parties to cruise in general. Enough space to do your own thing but able to all be together as well.

Only complaints were the bloody marys weren't great, just premade mixer with vodka, but understand why they couldn't keep too much on hand. Also, dinner came out just as fast as it went in, which again I understand why. Have to keep stuff fresh for a long period of time, so I'm sure many additives.

Overall, great ship (3rd time on this same one) & best trip yet!
