Praise to the Staff on Royal Caribbean Enchantment of The Seas by gach

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I missed the deadline to respond to Royal Caribbean's survey. Hopefully you can forward this to Royal Caribbean.

Our waitress assigned to our Table 178 11/9 - 11/13/2015 was fantastic. She had a great personality; we always enjoyed her serving us. She knew the menu and was able to recommend the best dishes prepared by the chef. Her name is Jacquelina.

Also our cabin attendant was exceptional: Dwitt Ufar. I hope I spelled his name correctly. We were very comfortable and well taken care of.

My first and maybe my last cruise. by Cruiser662

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

My room was great but 2 ladies traveling with us had no air conditioning the entire cruise.  Multiple attempts to get it repaired, Mondrian to another room or get a fan were fruitless.  They were miserable the whole time and a great deal of their time was spent at the Guest Services desk trying to get help.

Heavenly trip by Cruiser719

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I was honestly in awe of the Cruise ship and the life on board. So many there to make this a wonderful experience. Everyone was friendly and kind to the several ladies, some with handicaps.

Lots to keep you busy on the ship, without ever leaving the Ship.

enjoyed, ready to go back,, by pgpest

Had a great cruise in the Enchantment  of the Seas. Lots of good food. The shows were nice, but most of the songs and shows I had never heard of. I loved the Adult pool area, always clean and plenty big enough for everyone to enjoy.

This cruise was the first time we were able to really relax and enjoy ourselves. The crew was very friendly and helpful. Lisa Hess our travel agent was the best. She was able to answer questions right away and if she didn't know she would find out and get bac to you in a timely manner.

First time cruiser by Cruiser787

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The. Raise was awesome. No sea sickness or anything. The room was more than large enough, although we had a handicap accessible room. Our stateroom attendant was a perfect 10. Everyone we left the room, when we came back it was made up all over again with a different animal on the bed made out of towels. We will definitely be a loyal Royal Caribbean traveler. The food was hood. Only wish there were more restaurants on board.

Nice Overall Experience, but feeling "Nickeled and Dimed" by KristenHeptin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We had a great experience overall with our first-ever Royal Caribbean cruise. We found the staff to be top-notch, we loved our cruise director, "Bing Bong" Mark, we enjoyed our balcony room, and the weather cooperated nicely!

However, the extensive amount of money one would have to spend to fully enjoy their cruise experience left us feeling "nickeled and dimed." For example, if we wanted to drink soft drinks throughout our cruise, it was $8/day per person. If we wanted to purchase a drink package including alcoholic beverages, those ranged from $42-$67 daily, per person. And we found the prices of shore excursions to be quite, quite high.

I would cruise again with Royal Caribbean, but I would go in knowing that drink packages and shore excursions can be quite expensive, and budget that out.

Fun ship by Cruiserjim86417

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The ship is clean and cared for, however it seems very out dated. There is a tremendous amount of live music and entertainment all around the ship. The service in the dining room was outstanding.  We'll be back in the future.

our cruise by knjbeasley

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We really enjoyed the cruise itself.   This was my 3rd cruise.  The only thing we were disappointed in was the coffee and the food.   We are big coffee drinkers and it was like mud!  It was so strong I was adding hot water and tons of cream and sugar.   That didn't help much because the taste was horrible!  We even tried the Starbucks on the ship and it was no better!  The food was ok but my husband is not into international foods and would like to have seen more down home American food on the buffet.   The crew members were great!  Very friendly and helpful!  We enjoyed a few of the events offered such as the comedy shows and 70s night!  The ship was clean and well kept.  We found the smaller boat more personable than the larger one we had been on.

FUN FUN FUN ship by janastein

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

My husband and I were very pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere on this ship.  We usually cruise on the larger ships (Oasis and Freedom class), but we decided to take a quick 4-night cruise on the Enchantment of the Seas for my birthday.

First of all, the Cruise Director, Marc, is fantastic.  He's the best of all the cruise directors I've met on my previous five cruises.  He's very professional while making sure that everyone has a great time.  He also has a fantastic sense of humor.  This feeling extended out to all the entertainment crew, which then extended out to most of the passengers.  The entertainment crew did a GREAT job of including the passengers in all the FuN. Because this ship is a little smaller than we're used to, we were floored by how friendly everyone was, maybe because we kept running into many of the same people.  This ship may not have all the "bells and whistles" of the larger ships, but the intimacy and friendliness more than made up for it.  I would definitely sail on Enchantment of the Seas again. Love

Relaxation Central . . . by dougandrosy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was our first time cruising with friends. Since we had not experienced Enchantment of the Seas ourselves, some of the things were just as new to us as it was to them. The movie screen on the pool deck was a relaxing way to spend a few hours and the full moon peeking up above was an extra treat on this cruise. Our day at Coco Cay was picture perfect.  The floating mats were just what the doctor ordered to melt away any tension. We used the My Time Dining for the first time and were pleasantly surprised to have the same servers each day, just like our previous scheduled dinner times that we enjoyed on other cruises. Great experience overall!

Plumbing Disaster! by jpastok

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Toilet broke down on two different days while we were away, thus we will not be vacationing on this cruise ship EVER!

Food quality was so so. Small portions at main dinner with very high priced drinks. We even experienced a broken down slot machine that cost us a lot of time to get our credit back.

Great accessibility! by eli75

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We decided to celebrate our 40th anniversary with a cruise, not really sure how accessible it would be for a wheelchair.  The ship was very accessible; the only issue was the carpet was very plush and hard for him to push (not in the room, though).  Speaking of the accessible room, it was very spacious, as was the bathroom.  The bed was a little high for transferring easily, so our steward took off the two top pads which helped some.  There was a ramp to use to help get on the balcony.

Service was great, although some bartenders and even some guest service staff seemed, at times a bit indifferent to you.

The food was okay, nothing special.  Had one really awful dinner with seriously dry fish.   Desserts were really good!  The Windjammer had a good variety and most of it was just fine.

As far as the shore excursions went, we got off the ship at Nassau and just walked around the straw market area.  Next time, I would see if there was accessible transportation and arrange that ahead of time if we decided to check things out.  I was disappointed to hear from Guest Services that the private island was "just sand" and wasn't accessible unless you want to transfer to a beach wheelchair. I asked if there would be someone to help transfer and they just kind of shrugged.   I would think they could have some areas accessible without having to use the beach chairs. On the plus side, the ship was nearly deserted on private island day and we pretty much had the pool area to ourselves.

Overall, our "let's check this out and see if it works for us" cruise was a really good time.  We are planning on doing it again!

Almost forgot to mention that if you have a modified vehicle (hand controls, ramp) your parking is free at the terminal.  Savings of $60.00.  It's nice to get a break sometimes.

The people who were on the cruise were awesome!  The waiters and people who serviced each room were so friendly and polite.. it made for such a good trip!  The food wasn't the best I've had on a cruise ship, but it was ok.  The boat itself was overall good.  We had a great time!

Loved Coco Cay by dottmel68

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Great cruise.  The service was great in Dining Room and Stateroom.  Food was presented beautifully, but selection was a little lacking.  Entertainment was better than on the Carnival ships.  The check-in and check-out was very smooth.  The highlight of the cruise, for me, was Coco Cay.  It was beautiful and very relaxing.  I highly recommend it.

Great value, had more fun than expected by anderjam007

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Traveling as a couple, we were pleasantly surprised with the experience on our first cruise.  The staff on Enchantment of the Seas were very well organized, happy, and top-notch.  There were tons of activities available all-day, everyday.  The meals are included in the package and there is a fine dining option, along with a very solid buffet.  We ate at the "My Fair Lady" 2 of the nights and had an excellent meal.  The buffet also has a huge selection of foods for everyone, bring your appetite.  We did not purchase the beverage package, but that is available for those that plan to do a lot of drinking.  We never had a problem finding a deck chair, or table to eat at.  It was windy one night which caused the boat to sway, which was the only downside.  The room as not big, but it was comfortable.  We felt it was great value for what we got (lodging, activities/entertainment, cruise amenities, meals, and ability to see a few islands).  Would do a cruise in the future.

Royal is all that I expected by TennilleS

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We had a great time. It was my daughters 9th birthday and our first cruise.  They made us feel like we were at home.  Our room was always spotless with animals made from towels for my daughter.  The servers in "My Fair Lady" dining room did an excellent job.  They made animals from napkins for her.  Sang happy birthday.  Oh the food was great.  Had something different every night.  The boat was kept clean too.  Some people drink allot and get a little mouthy so we would find something else to do. They have rock climbing wall, trampoline in front t of the boat.  Overall the experience was great and we would do it again.

Great Weekend Getaway by stephaniecrawfordandrewsgmailcom

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I can not believe that I have lived in Florida for many years and have not done this great weekend getaway. It was so nice to meet up and go with friends and not have to worry about anything. The Enchantment of the Seas had plenty of entertainment and gave us time to enjoy being together. I would highly recommend this for family reunions too. The staff was very helpful and made it very smooth. I took the Seahorse Sail and Snorkel excursion also and it was great fun. The Bahamas is not that faraway and yet you feel like you have really gone somewhere. CocoCay was very nice as well.
