Ok but not great by avorhees1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The biggest plus(which the ship had nothing to do with )was the weather. We were lucky it was beautiful!

There was a little dude at the pool bar that was amazing..his service his personality were second to none.

The drink package was great compared to other lines.

Entertainment was nothing great.

Food was mediocre.

We cruise on Carnival usually. This was a last minute family trip(they cruise RCCL) so had no say so in the cruise line.

Was expecting exceptional service. Did not deliver in any way except the pool bar.

I will not sail RC again based on this ship.

Had a great time because of the weather and being a family get together.

Happy

overall experience with ship..service and crew wasSad

Great service-experiance by keetjr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I have cruised with RCCL 5 times now and they don't disappoint (mostly).  There isn't a cruise line out there (that I have found at least) that out does the service and attention to the passenger that RCCL delivers.  This boat was undergoing at sea work which caused the ship to look less attractive than others but there was no disruption to my vacation.  Besides the appearance (which is only temporary) the only critical comment that I would have is with the food in the Windjammer (buffet). There was plenty of food, it tasted fine and there was a good selection but it was often cold. The weather didn't cooperate but that didn't hamper the ship and her crew from delivering another great vacation.  Well done!  Happy

Great trip by Hicker

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The ship is a bit older now and showing a little age but they are doing very well in maintaining it!

Service was outstanding in cabin and everywhere we went and was as good if not better than most!

Food was good but lacked full flavor and in terms of cruise standards was about a 7/10.

coffee everywhere needs to be improved partcularly room service. Thanks for a good trip!

entertainment was great!

Dissatisfied by kathyabby58

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

we are very disappointed,we were told we would get a onboard credit of $100.00 from Royal Caribbean and $25.00 from and we did not hit the Credit from Royal . When I called them they both sent me to call the other one and did this several times. I have a trip booked with Royal this month and had I not already booked it I would pick someone else to travel with an I will not use again. I still haven't gotten any answers from !

Nice Ship for Short Cruise by gpruch600

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Enchantment is a nice ship for taking a short cruise.  There was plenty to do and the entertainment was good.  Food in the dining room was very good but the Windjammer was small and got very crowded which made it difficult to get around the buffet islands.  Entertainment was very good.   Our junior suite was small compared to the other RCL's ships but it was comfortable and stateroom attendant provided excellent service.  This ship will eventually be moving to Ft Lauderdale as the Majesty will come to Port Canaveral to take it's place.

Relaxing experience by KirstinV

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The four day Enchantment of the Seas cruise to the Bahamas, was the first cruise I've ever taken. While I didn't enjoy being on a moving vessel for four days, the experience that Royal Caribbean provided us was relaxing. The bartenders and Stateroom attendants provided excellent service, and made us feel right at home. Every one of our needs was met by our Stateroom attendant Zuri Johnson. He kept our room clean, took care of any problems we had, and even made really cute towel animals. (The extra touch put a smile on our faces when we entered the room) Also, our trusted bartender, Bruno at Boleros, made our drinks perfectly every time, was super fun to talk to, and made us feel comfortable the second we got on the ship. Bruno was the first bartender to service us and we went back to him everyday!

Bad weather by nancygiff

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The weather was really bad and the tenth level deck was closed nearly the entire cruise. So, nothing to do but eat!! The boat was not able to stop in Coco Cay either. The food and service were great just bad timing for the weather. Still trying to get my refund from our cancelled excursion.

Adequate by jnickum

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Wet on three night cruise to celebrate my wife's birthday, picked this Royal Caribbean cruise because it best fit our schedule and in our ten previous cruises we had yet to sail with Royal Caribbean.

Food and restaurant staff were both very good as was housekeeping and other staff in general.

Biggest reason for lower rating was the stateroom, we had a balcony stateroom on deck seven, handle latch at sliding glass door to balcony was broken and secured in the "open" position, door was secured with a simple hook and eye system like what was used on screen doors during my childhood.  This indicated not only a lack of proper maintenance but also a lack of care and pride in their product.

In addition the woodwork in the cabin was worn with finishes gone so that raw wood was exposed.  Also the bathroom had a persistent bad smell that we seldom experienced on previous cruises.

First-time cruiser by tr196802

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I really enjoyed the ship and the amnesties. The staff was awesome and made the trip more comfortable for my husband and I. The island was beautiful and the locals were very nice. The weather did not work to our benefit, we weren't able to visit the private island, but the crew were able to come-up with activities to make it a relaxing day at see. All-in-all it was a great mini-vacation.

Not that Great!! by asreimer

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

1st Cruise on this line, and was not impressed. The Ship was OK you could tell it was an older ship, but that was OK.  The main dining meals were OK at best, do NOT eat the carrot cake, horrible!! The Service was a bit slow 2 hours for dinner of 4, kinda long I think.  Windjammer meals were actually pretty good.  All stateroom bathrooms smelled, I was in many different rooms and they all smelled the same, so was not impressed with that.  Most importantly, the service was lack luster.  I can't tell you how many times we wait in line for over 5 minutes to get a drink, most times there was only 1 bartender and the lines were long enough, you could leave and go find a bar that wasn't as busy it would be faster.  We got to the point that whomever was going up would take everyone's order and we would take turns waiting in line, it was that bad, very disappointing.

Comments on crusing by bvhardin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The weather was not good for cruising for us.  The highlight of the cruise was going to Cocoacay--the weather was too bad for us to go ashore--a big disappointment--but we understand.  No compensation was offered due to this incident.  We would suggest that movies be shown inside as well as outside--it was too cold and windy to watch a movie outside.  A charge of $20.00 per day was required to use the wifi; why should I pay an additional charge for using my smart telephone?  We would suggest more movies be offered on the tv.
