Great Cruise Experience by sharadd

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was our first cruise experience and we absolutely loved it. The crew on-board was very friendly & professional. The food menu was nicely appointed & the all meals were delicious. On-board activities were amazing and we were struggling to keep up with them - multiple activities arranged from dawn to late night.

Did not live up to the brand name of Royal Caribbean by ucfhoney81

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The age of the ship is very apparent as many amenities no longer function properly and it has an odor of mildew.  Room 2049 & 2051 had several problems such as the a/c unit not cooling adequately, an electrical problem preventing use of the outlets to charge and/or use styling tools, and toilet was difficult to flush.

Additionally, the food in the main dining room was less than average. From the sit down breakfast to dessert after dinner, disappoint was the only thing consistent with respect to the food and service. Plus there was no option to get food 24hrs.

I went on my first 7-day cruise with RC last summer which set the bar high for this 3-day. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like all RCs are managed and maintained the same. Overall, this ship is in need of a massive overhaul otherwise, it's time to retire dear old "Enchantment of the Seas."

Wonderful time on Enchantment of the Seas by alzer786

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

After having been recommended by our children to try our 3rd Cruise with Royal

Caribbean,we certainly were glad we did.We had wonderful time overall. The staff were very polite, helpful and would  go out of there way to accomodate your  request.Found the swimming pool area deck little crowded, but that is expected on a fine day anywhere. .Breakfast and lunch variety was good and loved my time dining. Will definitely cruise again with R.C.

GR/Toronto.

Great family cruise by MaryandMarce

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We enjoyed the experience of our cruise beginning with our wonderful and personable agent, Terrance Boone.  If he didn't know the answer, he would find it for us and get back in a timely manner.

The cruise crew was wonderful as well as the organization, food, and activities

However, we were very confused about our OBC.  I had been told that we were to receive $200 per cabin (3), plus another $50?  My 21 day sign up didn't go through so thought I had lost that.  The other two cabins that I signed up for (40000464 and 40000438) did so they had theirs on their final bill.  They were told when he inquired that they would only get $50.  Our final bill reflected our $300 credit, and the final bill was charged on our credit card with the $300 deducted.  However, our credit card account is now showing a "pending" charge of 311.44 and 172.43 and we don't know what that is.  It's a charge that would have happened after we left the ship.  I wrote them to ask what that was.

Did we , in fact, get our OBC.

That was our only problem.   Everything else was very enjoyable and all that we thought it would be.   Thank you, Terrance.

4 night Enchantment of the Seas by AlisonMT

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Great 4 night cruise!  Cruise director, entertainment, and service in the dining room were spectacular!  Most meals were fabulous.  Others were not "bad" -- just not great. Downside was the Windjammer cafe (buffet area) was almost always packed with confusing traffic flow.  Had no idea breakfast was served in the dining room until another guest told us.  I highly recommend that, as long as you don't have time constraints in the a.m. at port.  Service doesn't take long, but there can be a long line that you don't have time to wait in.

Enchantment of theSeas by atcal

Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This cruise was overall very good.  The ship is an older one and it needs some modernization, general,  cleaning and painting.  The food was not as good as I have had in the past on other Royal Caribbean cruises. The wait staff in the main dinning room were not as efficient as they could have been. The coffee was very  bad. I thought it was just a bad day on the first day when I tried it however it was equally as bad every day thereafter.  There as usual a lot of food and entertainment which was very good and entertaining.  I would go on this cruise again if it were a different ship and much better coffee.

Great Cruise despite several issues by haskinb

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Am a loyal Royal Carribean alumn.  Did have several issues this trip.  Broken A/C on the first day was quickly repaired.  Second night, we had sewage back-up through the bathroom floor drain.  Took 30 minutes for repair to respond while we worked feverishly to keep the mess spilling into the cabin onto the carpet.  Took another 30 minutes to repair, then another 30 minutes before housecleaning responded to clean up...all around 11 pm.  Had to have the safe reset on day 3; and then the wrong coffee pods were matched up with the wrong coffee maker in the room resulting in a coffee mess on the desk-top.  This was never rectified as the cabin maintainer related they were phasing in new makers but didn't have the new pods.

Awesome experience! by Cruiser594

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group

Royal Caribbean exceeded my expectations for our first cruise!  My family had the best vacation!  Royal also did a great job accommodating my son's severe food allergies to dairy and nuts.  They just did a great job!

Mixed Reviews by moniquegregory

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The worst experience was the check out process.  At the beginning of our cruise, I gave them a credit card that I wanted all charges to be put on.  When we went to check out, it said we had to wait for customer service to check us out because our account was listed as Cash somehow.  How is this possible if we never gave them any money or even a dollar amount to charge.  So this lead to us waiting on a line for 1 hour and 20 minutes for us to pay our charges in full.  There were only 4 people working to help with this process.  What sense does that make?  This lead to us missing our airport shuttle and barely making our flight.

Our Family Cruise by Hallcruise

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The whole point in planning this cruise for my family was to be together and for some reason we were not together in the dining room for any of our meals.  It was a great disappointment and we made several request to have it corrected but could not get it corrected.

Nice trip by celiaiglesias

me and my boys really enjoyed our cruise with Royal Caribbean.  I found that even though it was a short cruise and there wasn't a lot of activities to do on board it was still pretty decent.  I will say that Royal Caribbean needs to make there online procedure to sign up for cruises and all the extras a lot more user friendly it is very confusing and I had to contact a Rep about five times to complete the process. It is not easy.  Also I do not think there packages are explained properly.  I bought a drink package and it was a complete waste there was hardly any beer to choose from and hardly any wine I simply asked for a glass of pinot grigio which is the most common type of wine, any brand mind you and they said that's not included in my package, I have to pay more, that's crazy for $40 a day I really got nothing. Also the Internet packages are a waste completely I paid for my 2 sons to have internet cost me almost $100 and they barely had it it keep going in and out not fair that I had to pay for something that never really worked.  I think the surcharges a day per room are way high  in addition to gratuity on the drink packages as well.  I basically tipping like really well if you come down to it.  My last issue was the food though it was good for what was included not kid friendly hard to simply get pizza, mac n cheese and chick fingers and French fries which is pretty much the only thing my son eats.  that's was on a kid menu we found out the last night and he is not a kid age.   think you need more kid friendly food.  Though my review sounds negative its not I would def cruise again do things a lot different because of the unnecessary money I spent and wasted

Very impressed with the people and the friendliness we encountered while on our cruise. The room was awesome with balcony and the room attendant was the greatest. Ready for our next cruise.

Short and Sweet by gregbsearle

Nice short and relaxing cruise. If your looking for something to kick off your spring celebration this nice short cruise is just the thing. It expands over Easter break and helps you really reflect on that meaning.

Good by vfry

It was really nice. I know there are cruises better than that one, but for what I paid, I wasn't dissapointed. Can't wait to go again. Crew was great, always had activities going and the packages were worth it.

I did the grill dining, the second most expensive. I won't do that for 3 days again. Once or twice is enough, any more and it's not worth it. Only complaint.

Not great by logan100902

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Embarkation was quick, we are Emerald status so it fast. We ate only at the buffet. Breakfast was OK, but everything else was not good at all. Ship was in poor condition especially our stateroom. Toilet did not flush, carpet badly worn, shower flooded did not drain. Cracked tile etc. Coco cay is badly in need of renovation. Did not go to any shows.  Bar staff were mostly rude.  Debarkation was quick, self check out.  Overall not great. The Norwegian Sky out of Miami is much better for the same price, plus their private island has been rennovated and food is much better, ship is nicer.

Great activities on board by scott417

Great weekend cruise.  Lots to do on board.  The shows where top notch and cruise director is a riot !  If your looking for good food avoid the main dining.  Food is subpar as is the service.
