Horrible Experience by MalachyA

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship itself was alright, but as a customer, I didn't get good service. All I encounter was problem after problem. They changed my original room to a smaller one without notification, and they still send us there. Our loggages went missing until the second day. Our scursions/tours got cancelled without prior notification. We had to go to Guest Relation 2-3 times per day because our access card never work properly. Guest Relation failed to fix it properly. When we spoke to Guest Relation manager all she could offer us was 5% discount for our next cruise with them. Guest Relations Manager litterally lied to us in couple ocasions. All I can say is that I had a bad experience, and we wont be cruising with them anymore. Carnival Cruise Line is way better.

Happy First time cruiser by LindaW21

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I never would have known there were nearly 3,000 people on board the Enchanment of the Seas during spring break. There was always room by the pool, in the bars, and at the shows. The drinking age of 21 on the ship was enforced and the "adult only " solarium pool was a nice way to escape the hustle and bustle of the childrens pool area. The staterooms were very clean with ample storage space for myself and my teenage daughter. The shower door is a great alternative to the standard shower curtains. However, next time I'll take an alarm clock (I don't normally worry about the time of day when vacationing but I did miss a couple of activities due to the lack of clocks on the Enchantment.) The buffets had great food which was served warm and delicious. The Windjammer offers spectacular views or you can take food out onto the pool deck. The shows on The Enchanment were amazing. Comedians, dancers, and singers were all sensational. Overall, this was a wonderful experience for a first time cruiser. I would highly recommend cruising on Enchanment to anyone. The Royal Caribbean staff was remarkably friendly and courteous. Beats any hotel I've ever been to.!!!!!

I was greatly impressed with royal caribbean. This was my first cruise experience and I had a wonderful time on my spring break. Thank you so much for providing such a comfortable boat and an amazing staff.

Relaxing cruise! by JanetM12

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our 2nd time on the Enchantment and what a difference a little refurbishing makes. The ship looked amazing and we were very impressed with the delightful attitudes of all the staff on board. Our room attendant was awesome. We never came back to a dirty room. Our server(s) at dinner time were very attentive. Although it was a little confusing who we could order water and Iced tea from or a cocktail. Too many servers! The pool deck was nice and big. Didn't like how the kiddy section of the pool was by the pool bar(not really appropriate for the little ones to hear some adult conversations going on) and that you couldn't sit pool side with a beverage. We went with 4 other couples and we all had a great time. The entertainment wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst either. Comedian was funny. If looking for a young party boat atmosphere, this wan't the ship to be on. Everyone seemed very reserved and a little older crowd. Strange to see at Spring Break time. Anyways, the ship looks great, staff was great and the food was great. Disappointed we didn't get offered lobster on formal night. Was told they only offer that on the 7 day cruises now. :( Highly recommend this ship.

What an Enchantment by JoanS12

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends

The Enchantment of the Seas is well appointed and the public spaces do not feel crowded. The food was good and the service great as has been the other RCCL cruises we have taken.

very relaxing cruise by JulieG6

had plenty of room in cabin, but it could be modernized a bit, pool area decking could use new coat of stain, overall though the ship was very nice and comfortable

Fair Cuise by DavidG30

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was not clean. It was old looking and it showed its age. The only activities for kids was in the kid program. What if your child does not want to be signed in, than there was no activites for them to do except swim, ping pong and shuffle board. The rock climbing was not for child 8 and under. Due to the weather the rock climb nor the tramboline was ever open. (Understand not the cruise lines fault due to weather) but they had nothing else for these children to do since the weather was bad. I would not recommend this ship to anyone with children 7 - 14.

great trip and fair price by MichaelW11

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We really enjoyed the overall friendliness of the crew people. We enjoyed the dinners expecially where we met very friendly people and staff. The food was good , not excessent but very tasty and plentiful. Our rooms were always neat and the staff friendly. We would go back again and probably will. The only area we did not like was the casino which we will avoid on further Royal cruises. Never did so bad in all my life and my wife did not fare any better. It was the downfall of our great trip.

A good family experience by SherryP2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)

The ship was nice but not fabulous. The large public areas all were smoky. The gym could have been larger. The pool area could have been larger. The kids arcade could have been larger.

The ship was fine, but not outstanding. The gym was small (always had to wait for a machine) and the common areas were few.

Lots of Fun! by Wendy5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship itself was beautiful. Classy. Liked that there was a pool/spa area for adults only (solarium). Intimate table seating was very nice. Constant attention to cleaning. Staff could have been more friendly, it may have been due to a slight language barrier. After our cruise, many of the staff was going home for the first time in 6 months, so I think there was a sort of anxiousness to get the cruise over with.

A Relationship Rejuvenator by WayneL1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The brochures and Royal website almost make it sound like boarding and check in is a LONG and DREADFUL ordeal but to be honest, if you pre-print your boarding passes and have all your needed documentation, it's a snap. AND, right from the folks who issue your Sail Card, to the welcome photographer, to the staff greeting you on the gangway....you automatically forget your stressful job, your personal problems or whatever drama that surrounds your own life and just instantly feel like you've entered paradise. The ship is clean...and my fiance' and I LOVED the fact that there was manditory hand sanitizer in many common areas. While big and almost intimidating, it's easy to find your way and there's always a staff member near by to help if you still get lost. This was our first vacation together EVER after nearly three years together and her first time on a cruise. I got her the trip for Christmas and presented it in front of her family by popping in a DVD I custom made for her. (You can view the short video present here: http://www.livevideo.com/video/3D70456FDC184A2DB21076218D88AB92/merry-christmas-dani.aspx) We got the Classic Romance Package which was a little dissapointing because it doesn't come to you as presented on the site or brochures. Pre-adverts suggest all of these romantic trinkets are just waiting for you when you come back to your room when in fact you have to submit your "voucher" each time you want to have a romantic element added from your package. Still nice, but detracts a little from the sexy surprises you imagine when ordering the package. But all in all, she LOVED all of it and it was a week we both needed after almost 1000 days together spent in the career grinds and stresses of life's strain. Highly recommend it.

A magical vacation! by DeniseB13

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship itself was immaculate. We loved the hand sanitizers posted at the entry of the dining rooms. It made us feel good about the ship proactively trying to curb any viruses. The stateroom was great -- plenty of room. Really enjoyed the balcony. The kids loved the kids' programs. At times we couldn't convince them to leave it.
